More storms developed early today (1:30pm). It did put a cap on highs, only reaching an intra-hour high of 88°F.

After an extended lull in any t'storm activity locally since 8/19, did finally see a bit of action this evening. Picked up about 1/2"of rain.

Otherwise, the high today was only 89*F with mostly sunny skies.

0.22" over 23 days.  Most of that 0.15 was 10 days ago.  We are getting very dry with ever more dry ahead.

Got a nice 0.91" overnight, first rain since 8/22, but it had been so wet before things were still doing okay.  Now at 9.17" for the month, over 21" for July/August.

Had several stationary storms last night. Kept me up until 6:00am and had to be at work at 9:00am. Wasn't in a good mood today. The thunder was incredibly loud, the lightning insanely frequent.

Had another bad storm move through today. Have picked up about 1.75" of rain in about 18 hours.

What exactly in this crap pattern is causing these storms to form and just sit there gaining strength as they go?
