I got 4.62".   I'm just happy someone else reported something near that to Upton bc the other totals aren't close.   My buddy in Bellmore got 3.46".

Were you able to record what your maximum rainfall rate was? I would be curious to know the shortest amount of time for picking up an inch of rain during the event.

Unfortunately no.  I need to upgrade but have been saving for a new house.  I think 5-10 mins would be a safe bet (maybe even less) but obviously we'll never know.  This was Islip (13" deluge) level rainfall rates.

The highest 3 day total that I could find in the OKX zones was 6.60 at the NWS in Upton.

DIX destroyed OKX this time around.

That August 2011 8" of rain at JFK is very memorable- and it came a month after we hit 104 degrees and 108 degrees at Newark!  In August 2011 we also had to deal with the rains of Irene and a 5.8 earthquake!

Chris, a storm that just missed this list though it comes close is the January 2016 Blizzard which was a 3" liquid equivalent (31" of snow) at JFK!

That May 1, 2014 event is also memorable for all the flooding we had with widespread 5" rainfall totals (mostly at night)!

Interesting I had forgotten that in March 2010 we actually had two big rainfall events, like we did in August 2011.
