Until NCEP fixes buggy GFS forecasts, I'd recommend using @TropicalTidbits snowfall products rather than the raw model output -- not that you should do that in practice anyways. Step changes in liquid equiv accum snow occur more than once in forecast period e.g.

The GEFS even has some legitimate ridging building back into Greenland in response to the TPV becoming more elongated. It's a really nice look for multiple big winter storm threats from 12/15 and onward.

 

And yes, 12/13 has legs.

12/15 onward for big threats....I've always been all in on that.

I think its going to be a holiday period to remember.
