ORH should smash their record low of -11

Not convinced at all...the core of the cold is actually slightly to our west...like over Hudson Valley/Berkshires/Catskills. Euro seems to have been more correct on this idea. Some earlier runs of the GFS had it right over us. So we barely touch -30C at 850 (if at all). I also would like the winds to be drilling a little more out of the N. At least it isn't WNW, but NNW is better than NW.

It will be a close call but I could see this only producing like a -9 or something. One positive is the peak cold comes as the sun is going down and we also have a pretty fresh snow pack.

I don't really bookmark record sites or search them nearly ever:

(1) all time cold record at BOS?

(2) record for sunday at BOS?

(3) your approximate call for sunday at BOS?

All Time record is -18F on 2/9/34 (not at current Logan site though)

Daily record for both Saturday and Sunday at BOS is -3F.

My call is right near the record. But it might end up just short.

Yes we actually get the core of the cold to come in with a well mixed boundary layer up to 850mb overnight. 925mb temps aren't crazy. Record breaking at 850mb but probably short at the surface.
