T number 3 for the month, two accumulating snows for a total of 7" and 5 days with snow cover probably 6 tomorrow. Not likely to ever see a wintry Nov like this again unless i move north.

It's definitely been a very impressive period here too. The 4 plus inches that fell here on Wednesday still remains with not much having melted. We've also had snow falling at some point during the last 4 days and 6 days in total during November. This holiday weekend has looked and felt a lot more like January.

44F outside now, warmest since last Wednesday predawn. The thin snowcover (1 1/2" plus) we had here is fading, including overnight. Still snow in shaded areas, but in the sunny areas it will likely all be melted come this afternoon. Not as impressive as farther north, but not bad for November, this will be the 7th day this month with some snow on the ground here.

All this winter with snow on the ground and 35.6F and there is a moth buzzing the deck light. Bizare

I saw moths in northern New Hampshire when it was just below freezing and nearly a foot of snow on the ground one day last week.

Hardy bahstahds..

BTW, temp down 19 degrees from high of 65 in NW Chesco with a steady light rain.

Given the blah pattern I rewrote the song Grinch- Your A Mean One website: http://www.lyricsmod..._mr_grinch.html

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a Heat Mizer.
You pump up the positive AO.
You inflate the positive NAO.
Mr. Grinch.
You're a mild influence on our weather

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's is a misplaced Gulf of Alaska Low.
Your brain is full of fire.
You've got Warm Air Advection in your soul, Mr Grinch.
I wouldn't touch you with a snowstake.

You're a vile one, Mr. Grinch.
You cool the stratosphere,
You have all the tender sweetness of a Pacific Airmass
Mr Grinch.
Given the choice between the two of you,
I'd take the Pacific Airmass.

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch.
You bring us nasty cold rains.
Your heart is full of desires to push north southeast ridges.
Your soul is full of advection fog.
Mr Grinch
.

The three best words that best describe you,
Are as follows, and I quote"
Stink!
Stank!
Stunk
!

You're a rotter Mr Grinch
You're the king of warm and wet Christmas's
Your hearts to warm for winter
Mr Grinch

Your sole is the MJO camping out in phases 4 and 5
Overflowing with the most disgraceful
low level cold air  with warm mid-levels.

You nauseate me, Mr Grinch
With a noxious super nos
You're a crooked jerky jockey and,
You drive lows into the lakes
Mr Grinch!

You're a three-decker Mizer
And ruin our weather,
With disgusting weather patterns!

Rain in California from border to border, El Nino look for sure.

Ya know, I'm happy that it's wet in California.  I'll forego winter snow for a while, just to see a green CA, if possible.  Everything is interconnected.  Sometimes, it works for both coasts - e.g., 1995-96 had wet CA rainstorms during that snowy EC winter.  But that was an unusual year, I think.
