Yes agree.  Cold is....a conversation starter, I guess? Other than that not very fun or exciting.

Starting to root for an absoute torch the next two weeks so we can mix up the indecies in february.

If it's cold enough for snow and it doesn't snow, it's just a waste. Plain cold and dry is boring. At least if it is warm you can enjoy being outside.

Greg Fishel channeling his inner weenie....

"This is cold air, my friends," Fishel said. "You tack a 15 mph wind onto that, and it feels like it’s around 10 (degrees) when you head out Friday morning ... There’s no return on the investment here. We’re not getting any snow. This is terrible."

Sounds like our winter pattern.

Hey Brick,  I am sure you are a nice guy, but this is the SE, you live on the coastal plain of NC, it does not snow a lot there, you have to be realistic.  But wishing and whining is not going to change the weather, obviously from other posters remarks it has become a monotonous boring routine from you.

But what about people like me, who  likes outside more the colder it gets?  I had some of my best fishing in a sleet storm.  Sailing was always better in 35 mph northwest winds.  We always held our club croquet tourney on the coldest day of the year.  If it can't be sleet, then let it be record cold!! I swear I may never set foot in this banter thread again. Good grief Brick, cant you focus on football, or food, or politics?? You are obviously worn out on weather. There are 20+ posts here from you whining and another 20+ from everyone else in response to your tantrum. Even for banter this is annoying as crap!

It actually looks like we should get a sizable thump of rain today. As always this winter, it seems, it trended wetter at the last minute. Looks like maybe 0.3-0.4" of rain, which I can't complain about, though the precipitation will skedaddle before the cold air filters in behind the system.

[whiny banter post]

I can't wait for our first winter storm when QPF busts on the low side, breaking the trend that has been set all winter. You just know that's what's going to happen.  :axe:
