Lights have yet to flicker in downtown Baltimore. sad.png

I am also in Mt Vernon and was expecting power to go out. I think the derecho took out all the 'problem' trees. Haven't had one flicker this evening at all. Winds don't seem as bad as Isabel to me, although I'm shielded by another building this time.

It's still alot better than i thought, we will probably be at about only 300,000 by the time the storm ends. I thought it would be closer to 700,000.

I think so much had to be rebuilt this summer, that it might have really helped out for this storm. Also just think of all the trees they cleared after the derecho. Some areas are still getting hit hard though. Look at Baltimore City and North, just around the beltway.

I gotta say, so far the power companies have been doing a lot better than I would have thought.

are they actually doing anything other than getting lucky?

power is flickering here a lot more lately.
