TEMPS TRICKY AS HAVE TO ACCOUNT FOR RAPID

COOLING IN EAST AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST. UPWELLING OF

COOLER WATERS OVER THE NEARSHORE AREAS ON THURSDAY WL CONTRIBUTE TO

SIGNIFICANT TEMP DROP ALONG SHORE AREAS THIS AFTN. TEMPS MAY FALL

20-30F IN SEVERAL HOURS FROM MILWAUKEE SOUTH. LARGE GRADIENT OF MAX

TEMPS EXPECTED ACROSS CWA TODAY...FROM THE LOWER 80S FAR NORTHEAST

TO THE LOW TO MID 90S IN THE SOUTH

30F temp drop? Hmm been several hours since the front passed and I fell from 85 to 79. Good call MKX.

Knock it off. If you read closely, what they said doesn't even apply to you.

With a high of 95*F today, it is officially Detroit's 2nd hottest summer on record.

Depending on how the numbers are rounded, it may even tie for the hottest summer on record.

Amazing!

93 here. Very Windy as well

Could this be the last 90+ for the area?

Met. summer went out with a bang today! High 94° before Isaac's clouds moved in. Totally overcast now with a stiff ENE wind off the lake. The low between now and midnight will determine if this month is below normal, normal, or above normal. Too close to call atm!

Best Spring and Summer I can remember. Most def I will give an A. I think the lack of severe weather was a slight drawback. The overall abundance of beautiful sun filled days and lack of rain made for plenty of stellar outside days. The heat of July was noteworthy but nothing we can't handle in MI. The cool start to August then the final torch of this week made for something for everyone. Soon the skies will turn gray and dim and the flakes will fly. We will enjoy our snowfalls and ice, But it won't be long before the tulip pop again.

The beginning of August, if anything, was the hottest part of the month.

It was the middle part of the month that featured seasonably cool temperatures.
