DavisStraight
I borrowed a generator a couple days into the outage after Irene, and again in October. May be time to just buy one. I bought one a month ago, hope I dont need it anytime soon, winds are howling here, I was dodging limbs and branches in the road on the ride home. Ginx snewx
64 mph blue hill Nice we just had a huge gust, heard yet more trees cracking behind me. Twice in a week or so, damn. My bro in AK says he has never seen it so windy up there ever, he has been there 38 years. Huge forces at play with big thermal contrasts.

Someone is gonna need one after tonight. CL&P will be on the hot seat again. A-Rubi
I bought one during Irene. I bought one the day before Irene, the electrician just installed it to house last week. He's been booked since Irene, running back and forth from here to Ct.
Alpha5
Didnt realize the extent of the wind damage in SW CT. Really nothing to write home about here, a few strong gusts from time to time, but otherwise, nothing impressive. Happy winter

Steve, at many of my properties especially west and north of the merritt, there are visible limbs and large liters just hanging, on residential properties. This will happen I imagine for a couple more wind events at least
HIPPYVALLEY
Upper valley holding the cold. Still 39 imby while MP has torched to 45 at 1000' but only a few miles up the road from me. If I only I had snow pack I could be excited that it wasn't getting completely torched right now. lol

Yeah tonight will definitely weed out the weak stuff. Lewis Tree Service has been working my area nonstop since Snowtober, cutting everything back off the lines and dropping small trees around them. I may never lose power again lol, not even a flicker tonight...
