you doubted my 3" call at DCA last week. i am not talking to you again -- till we get less than 3" at least. :snowman:

http://www.meteor.iastate.edu/~ckarsten/bufkit/data/

Hmm... 12z NAM bufkit for DCA has 2.6 inches.

For those who are wondering:

BWI: 5.0

Cumberland: 8.6

Hagerstown: 10.7

Lexington Park: mixed precip, 0.4 snow

Martinsburg: 6.0

Martin State Airport: 5.4

Westminster: 9.6

KIAD data hasn't refreshed from yesterday on the site I use. No idea why.

That was a good call better than mine as I wasn't that bullish until I saw the 00Z nam.

i am fortunate not to have any real name so i can still make stupid calls at range and keep my fingers crossed. :P

I think you control Ji's weather, and you are apparently giving him sleet. You're mean.

I would rather have sleet than those sickly thin tiny snowflakes anyway....I don't think sleet is a bad thing. I also think the changeover to snow will have some heavy stuff in it but just be too short. I'm feeling good about school delays/cancellations for tomorrow.

since this winter has found every way to screw us, regardless of qpf, my initial guestimate of 1-3" DCA area and 2-4" BWI area is probably a safe bet

any other year I would think DCA 3-4" and Balt 4-7"

what does this year have to do with this storm on Feb 22?
