I was thinking about Josh if we somehow got >24" from this system this coming week. Many people in Detroit would still think 1978 had more there 1978 storm was an epic storm for surrounding areas but for Detroiters it is a legend in their own mind

GHD Il? I know I cracked that as did Josh? The hard to crack number here is 24 which hasn't been done since 78. 67 was the other which was as someone else noted basically a qpf bomb and thus why such widespread 18+ amounts from IL to MI which is rare in this part of the world and the only reason I don't totally discount the GFS. Chances are slim of that sort of thing but not zero.

Hi Josh. Long time. I lived in Utica at the time of the Blizzard of '78. This storm was very disappointing as a kid for many as I remember like it was yesterday. The winter storm watch was issued and it was scrolled across the TV during the TV broadcast of Star Wars (it scrolled during Mos Eisley Cantina scene). We were expecting 18"+ in the northern burbs. Got 10" with some rain and UCS system still had classes except one school had power problems like due to the winds. My mom gave me a personal snow day!! Because of the regional impact it was talked about for days on the news. During the 70s (early 80s) most people in the northern burbs have memories of some major 16"+ storms (I sure do). Funny thing is I am willing to bet that most people are mixing up storms (thinking it was the Blizzard of '78 but it was really one of the other major storms that impacted them). If we had these forums and models we have today, I bet the meltdown from the Detroit crew would be huge (the kuchera totals SE MI model output would have been like 24-36" and results would have been 8-10" with rain mixed in).

I'm kind of sad right now Daboll deserved his promotion but if he takes Dorsey too, its going to sting. Josh Allen made him, but hes still a good coach. -

Not sure if anyone listens to Mad Dog Russo on Sirius Ch. 82 but his show today was legendary recapping the weekend NFL games. The best part was him tearing apart post game shows (none of Rodgers 17 minute interview on NFL Network, just stupid replays and chit chat) and... destroying Tony Romo in an all time rant at 1:45 mins into the recorded version. OMGLOFL. So right. Romo got the squib call spot on but FFS shut the f*ck up otherwise. With 2 minutes left in the game at 11 pm at night in an all time classic... Romo is blithering about Josh Allen's legacy not once or twice but three times! And the scribbling on the telescreen...just stop. I thought that was idiotic also at the time. Allen is 24 years old, FFS. Romo is so godawful. -
I’m primarily an Eagles fan but ever since studying up in Rochester and making some great friendships with Bills fans, they’ve been the only team that can come close to my level of support for Philly. Heart’s broken for Josh Allen and my friends, just such a disappointment. Gotta take solace in the fact that Allen is an absolute miracle worker with ice in his veins, I guess.

Incredible game Was rooting for Bills… Kelce Hill etc already were sure they were dynasty legends years ago. Josh Allen will be a star for years -
NFL needs to change the OT rules. So stupid. but I feel bad for Josh Allen. He played the perfect game. Their D was atrocious.

Dolphins fire their best coach since Shula. As a fan of the team, I told my friends this would happen months ago. Why? Because it's the dumbest move they can make as a franchise. Reports are he wasn't getting along with the GM and Tua. So cut the GM and Tua. Grier's roster moves haven't won any playoff games, ever. Tua is injury prone. Funny how Tannehill is manning the #1 seed in the AFC right now and won their division for the 2nd year in a row. Guy took a beating in Miami becasue he had no protection and yet he played pretty much every game and put up top 12 numbers in most categories. Think a new HC is going to keep DC Josh Boyer? Doubtful. So there goes the only real strength of the team, because Flores knew how to scheme like Belichick and Boyer coached them up on it. It's getting close to being the last straw for me with this team at this point. I don't care if they bring in Harbaugh and Deshaun Watson. It won't help.
