  1. I really think storm tracks are further north the last several years. I use this example a lot, but it's pretty telling that we rarely get clippers anymore. The first and second parts to this system went all the way into the Wisconsin/Great Lakes region. Cutters are not our strength. We need systems to be further south and they just simply haven't been that way often enough.
  2. Great game by the Wizards last night, but they do rely a bit too much on the three ball. As for MD...that ending pissed me off. I know Reese was defending the weak side, but you can't let a guard go end to end like that. I really think they need someone taller in the paint...this isn't the first time our front court (including Queen) has given up points in the paint and boards. With that said, think MD will end up with a 4 seed, which is still pretty good.
  3. Just saw the Nam 3k...better than I expected, tbh. TBD
  4. Secondary line showing up on water vapor...a bit north, though.
  5. Winds have picked up here...wanted to drive with all my windows down, but my eyes are high maintenance, so I didn't think that would be an intelligent decision.
  6. Prob will get some showers once the colder air filters in, but seems like instability is lacking. I’m rocking a short sleeve shirt today…feels awesome.
  7. Wondering if it’ll even rain here today. Only a trace so far. Been a beautiful day temp-wise…and not that overly windy so far, though that’ll change once the front moves thru.
  8. What I don’t want is another Spring 2022. Winter (periodic cold shots) didn’t really end until May, if I recall correctly.
  9. If chilly means 50s and 60s in Frederick in March, I’m all in.
  10. I don’t think this is a setup Frederick will do well in. Looks great for dc though. Otherwise I’m loving this weather. I’m super done with cold/dry.
  11. I’m getting hints of allergies. Only downside to spring, though it doesn’t peak for me until late April or so.
  12. Basically, today's weather is majestic so far.
  13. B- in Frederick. Had several systems of 2-4”, some healthy squalls, and a couple of cosmetic events sprinkled in with a bit of freezing rain. We’ve had worse, but it’s time for a 6-10” snowfall.
  14. The movement of air settled a bit towards sunset which helped my three point percentage. I’m actually starting to crave a filthy, stagnant summertime Bermuda high. We’re due for one of those. I’m all in on a humidity-laden summer with high cape, afternoon storms.
  15. Issa wrap. Hopefully next year we can snag an El Niño and finally break out of this drought-producing, nw flow. I mean, the lack of a substantial snow in the northern tier is just getting weird at this point. I’m ready for spring and a reshuffle of the overall pattern.
  16. Is this in Maryland, too? I actually just noticed dirt spots all over my car. We did have some light rain around here last night.
  17. Way too late in the season for cosmetic snow. March needs to be a winter storm warning minimum.
  18. Looks like a miracle stretch of weather incoming.
  19. One of the more common forecast errors is predicting sun after a storm passage. We’re generally miserable at that because there always seems to be too much residual moisture as the cold air filters in.
  20. Wind was really cranking for a bit last night. My balcony furniture is all huddled up in a corner.
  21. Seems like things played out this way. Little more energy with the last round, but the evening arrival may have lessened the impact
  22. Few rumbles with this latest round.
  23. That would still make it a step ahead lol
  24. Damn, that's a dicey situation lol. Mama bears are no joke. Catoctin blue is legit...I like riding the Blue to VW/Knucklebuster loop, and when I feel like torturing myself I'll ride up Three Saws and down Catovid. Fun trails there...my bike is currently in the shop (spring cleaning).
  25. Top shelf downpour in progress by March standards.
