  1. Getting clipped here with another shower which has involved a relatively close lightning strike. Fun weather day.
  2. Breezy and no hail in Baker Park, but man that was a torrential midsummer downpour.
  3. Getting rocked here in Baker Park. A lot of ppl got caught in it. I’m chillin’ in my car until it simmers down from the current torrents.
  4. 80s and humidity is a recipe for popcorn cells in our area.
  5. 50s and sun is acceptable. Playing hoops in a hoodie is a vibe.
  6. Obviously, for the sake of climate change, I prefer normal seasons…but man this weather feels incredible. I needed this in my life. Now can we get some thunder in this pattern?
  7. Nice, been there a couple times. It’s worth it for the experience. Kenwood is another spot, though I gotta think the homeowners get annoyed sometimes lol. One of my weird hobbies is trying to predict the time based on the moon phase and location in the sky. The moonset of what looks like a 10-11pm moon phase lines up with those predawn pics.
  8. Loving these temps. Hoping we finally reached the last of the cold days. I'd be ok if we don't go below 50 until December. I actually like March, even with the temp swings, because I know that we're moving in the right direction. My least favorite weather month, probably by far, is November and more specifically I would say Nov 1 through December 31 leaves little to be desired weather-wise in this area. Once January hits, there's less wasted cold. Note, I do enjoy the holidays, just not the weather that time of year. Basically, outside of a Christmas miracle, I want it warm from March through December lol.
  9. Today turned out amazing, though I will say it's pretty impressive how we can go from Colorado dewpoints to sort of humid in one day. We're pretty good at that...along with clouds and wind.
  10. That's ok. The west needs a real winter more than we do.
  11. Why can't we do normal during that 3 weeks from late Jan to mid Feb? lol. I gained like 10lbs during that time period. Slowly shedding...though disregard the tacos I'm currently eating.
  12. Who needs late January when you can have late March.
  13. At least it's sunny. But yea, the variance in temps this month has been wild...and a perfect example of why medians/modes should be used when evaluating the central tendency of weather here.
  14. I tried +10 and disliked it lol. Now 110 and humidity is a problem. At that point, I’m moving to northern Cali and breaking even.
  15. Today’s weather is incredible, but lol at these temp swings lately. Some consistency would be nice.
  16. That sounds absolutely horrendous.
  17. I can probably be classified as a warmanista-leaning stormanista lol.
  18. Lol this is true. I think the big thing for me is having ample sunshine. Like, today is chilly, but I’m getting a sufficient recharge of Vitamin D. I’ve considered Nevada because my mom is out there, but funny enough my sister and nephews are in the southeast. I’m remote at my current job, but the company and customer are here, so I may stick around this area for a bit and just try to be less annoying when the weather isn’t going my way.
  19. Man, I’m ready for a 6 month long Bermuda High at this point. I’m actually contemplating relocating south or west. Totally subjective, but I’ve realized that the weather just kinda sucks here in the winter and sometimes beginning as early as November and lasting through March. Just not my cup of tea anymore and doesn’t really serve my hobbies very well…mostly because the payoff in the snow department just is not there. On the flip side, I guess I’m one of the few that loves mid-Atlantic summers. Yea, it can get hot, but most of the time I still find the peak heat to be tolerable. Mosquitoes get annoying, though.
  20. Beautiful sunshine today. It’s amazing how much nicer 40 degrees feels when it’s not cloudy or too windy.
  21. Nice, that’s a lot of mileage lol. Going from the Roscoe (which I still have) to the FX on road has been a huge upgrade, but it seems like it would struggle on anything except maybe gravel, so I’m almost inclined now to consider more of a road bike like the Domane. I’ll have to see how much I get into the road biking. I used to only ride the trails and then rocks once I moved to Frederick, but road biking has been more convenient and I have one hill nearby that’s punchy enough to get a solid workout.
  22. I’m truly loving this weather. There’s a little breeze as well.
