  1. Yea I definitely didn’t have “Maryland hotter than Vegas” on my bingo card. There’s heat wave and then there’s thick, dense heat wave (you know it when it happens) which it sounds like is occurring there today and tomorrow.
  2. That’s rough lol. Looks like I’m missing a highly legitimate heat wave. Not the fake stuff.
  3. Dang, I thought it wasn’t supposed to hit 100 until tomorrow. Gonna get spicy in Vegas by the weekend…already getting chippy, but it’s desert dry…probably because it’s the Mojave.
  4. Kinda weird that it’s gonna be hotter there than in Vegas this week, for at least a couple days. Was breezy af all weekend but now winding down and barely hitting the low 90s. Sunday and yesterday felt more like Denver than Vegas. Pretty great hiking weather.
  5. Only gonna be in the 90s here in sunny Vegas next week. Breeze has been kicking up here and gonna ramp up this weekend…big trough moving into the northwest which should translate east I’m assuming by next weekend which is when Vegas starts to heat up again.
  6. Very exciting storm. So when does the sun return?
  7. Early congrats to lower MoCo and points south and east. The light shower earlier had chunky raindrops. Someone down in that batch of precip is gonna score a gully washer.
  8. I’m jealous. Been mostly cloudy up here all morning and mild. Hoping we can get some sun up here for a bit. I’m gonna be out west for a couple weeks so I’d like to see/hear some storms prior.
  9. Still mostly green here in my neck of the woods in Frederick...basically the complete opposite of the last two years. Too bad those wins haven't translated to more in the way of quality snowstorms. The wind has been something, too...played some basketball today and had to aim the ball 3 feet to the left of the rim when shooting three-pointers to offset that westerly breeze.
  10. Downpours and thunder is this morning’s theme. Minimal drought issues here.
  11. Had a couple good downpours late yesterday. Idk what’s going on, but mby has done well with precip the last couple months.
  12. It got windy here for sure especially before the downpour commenced.
  13. Man, your location might be underrated. You get the desert in the mid-Atlantic.
  14. We don’t miss storms anymore lol. This one is super breezy. Just got home in time for the downpour portion.
  15. Also, just looked at the radar…I did not expect that lol.
  16. Is it spicy outside? Yes. But give me longer days and this weather over shorter days and the February glacier. Fruit season is in, too. Cantaloupe and watermelon have been slapping lately after a bit of a slow start.
  17. Yea that line was a gully washer. Curious to see if the stream next to my place is running again after that…it had dried up the last few days, though Catoctin Creek was flowing nicely 10 days ago when I crossed it to hike up Three Saws. There just hasn’t been any real precip issues here the last couple months…we’ve done pretty well in that department, relatively speaking.
  18. Classic humidity today (just got a swampy workout in) and another line moving thru with rumbles in the distance.
  19. My friend is at 9.3 mwh for the year and 823 kWh for June. Confirmed via enphase. You made me ask him. He said he’s done decent so far this spring but was less over the winter compared to 24/25. It powers his whole house and that his teslas consume the most…kind of impressive, actually.
  20. How are your solar panels doing?
  21. We still average a solid 4-5 days per week of clouds.
  22. Our ability to have non-precipitating clouds is unmatched.
  23. My ideal climate would probably be summer from May to September, then 2 months of October, then Dec/Jan/Feb, and 2 months of April.
  24. Definitely my kind of weather this weekend. Beautiful combo of sun and tolerable humidity with some bonus late day storms.
