Was on a 10 month contract out there for United Launch Alliance and flew every week. Kinda silly in hindsight, though a lot of times I would just stay there through the weekend or travel somewhere else. Summertime is pretty cool there…the mountains become bike parks. Wish I was into mountain biking at the time.

Lol boulder is pretty cool. Colorado is tough to beat, but so is being able to take a day drive to the ocean.

I have a preference towards Colorado weather. I’m game for a storm, but otherwise give me 55 and sunny.

No way, I’m jealous of western md right now.

I think this next storm has room to come north. The last 2 weeks was too suppressive…it was as if we were living in the northern plains with very little connection to a southern stream.

This weather is premium.

So basically…canceling winter on Feb 10 when lakes are frozen, is dumb.

It’s pretty obvious at this point that we’re gonna need to wait at least a week or two for a snowstorm. We’re due for a late season triple phaser anyway.

In an active pattern, all we need is one quick Arctic shot thru mid March. I’m more interested in precip at this point. This region really needs it.

After looking at the 12z euro…I guess having a southeasterly wind at the surface before a southern stream system arrives isn’t ideal, right?

Today actually was pretty tolerable. I can sense a warmup is incoming. Can’t wait for these faux snow mountains to melt. But I’m game for a real snowstorm…though it’s not looking good, that’s for sure.

I’m officially ready for the “warmup”.

We’ve certainly had enough practice snow. It’s time for something legit.

Definitely thought the Xfinity and Budweiser commercials were the best, though I only caught a couple parts of the first half.

I don’t know how you got that much, but congrats. I got 6” here…measured in multiple spots and by about 10am it was sleet. I know measuring on a snowboard is the official method, but I care a lot more about what’s actually settled on the ground. The cold has been legit, no question about that…but also annoying lol. I’d much rather have a few good snowstorms than predominantly cold/dry. Then again, I also grew up during a time where we actually got snow on the regular including 94 when I experienced several inches of pure sleet from start to finish (so this last storm was mid in comparison). It’s all perspective, I guess, but I would still objectively call this winter pretty lame from a snow to cold ratio. We’ll see how the rest plays out.
