  1. Yea I’m ok with the first part of the storm…I just despise the cloudy/breezy/meh weather that those systems can bring as they hang around until the traffic clears.
  2. Meandering GL/NE upper level lows are the worst.
  3. House sitting/dog sitting in Olney and have heard several rumbles so far along with lightning. Yep, didn't expect that after glancing at the radar a little while ago. It was somewhat mild/humid today, though.
  4. Looks like a miserable stretch of weather incoming this week.
  5. Is tshirt weather and thunderstorms involved? If not, I have questions. Jokes aside, I still would like a snowstorm to boost my snowfall forecast rank.
  6. Turned into a spectacular day…often times we’re cloudy and windy following a storm system. Late March sun ftw
  7. Meh. I want 85 with 67 dews and scattered afternoon storms. Shoveling season is over.
  8. I’m ready for the 80s lol, but not in a gw/cc kinda way. I’ve always been pro-summer (with seasons involved).
  9. One thing I like about hiking is that I’m moving my legs. I’ve skied out west several times in pure powder and it’s pretty great, but it is a restrictive movement. That was always my least favorite part of it…otherwise, it’s pretty cool being able to glide down a mountain…especially when it’s snowing. I haven’t tried snowshoeing, but I do have Snowshoe on my list lol.
  10. Get ya popcorn ready…the east coast is due for some stemwinders.
  11. We seem to do well here with easterly wind components. Pretty good soaker area-wide. Most of the pws’s show over an inch near mby.
  12. Clouds are on the increase again. That’s one thing we’ve been doing extremely well during this multi-year snow drought. That and a breeze. Must be tied to an overall busier Pacific/warmer waters.
  13. You mean you don’t miss overpriced resorts, schlepping skis all over the place, and having to wear 25 lbs of gear? I’m exaggerating, but there are definitely reasons why I haven’t skied in a while. Long story short…it’s kind of a drag lol. I’m due for a trip, though…maybe next winter I’ll shake the rust off. That said, I do enjoy hiking in the snow…was hoping for more of those opps this past winter.
  14. It's also been solid at showing less digital/fake blue the last several years...which lines up with "actual".
  15. I've realized that I'm willing to sacrifice up to 10 degrees in order to achieve sunshine. Today's weather is crisp, but hardly a cloud in the sky...I'll take it.
  16. The former sounds lovely in December, not in late March...though I could do without wildfire smoke.
  17. Nw flow/breeze/clouds have been our base state the last few years…or at least it feels like it. I want a swamp-like summer.
  18. Mazel Tov to KMLWX...now it's time to reel in some storms.
  19. The idea of moving to the Great Lakes or Northeast/New England sounds nice on paper, but I swear just about every time I look at the satellite imagery there's clouds there. I don't think I could deal with that over long stretches. I feel like there's already enough cloudy/windy days here lol.
  20. The emphasis on protecting player’s health has created more space in basketball and football…prob hockey, too. It’s all about mobility now. Going forward, I think you’ll see more and more qb’s being able to scramble in the same way you pretty much have to be able to shoot the ball well in the nba, at least through the 1-4 positions.
  21. I’m beginning to long for the days of stagnant, soupy airmass’s with late afternoon storms.
  22. Eh, tough to beat the 70s, but sunshine is a 50/50 thing around here, so today gets a high grade.
  23. Humidity ramped up a bit for a time today. I could use a storm or a polar vortex for a day to knock this pollen down. It’s been legit this week.
  24. Chasing “storms” regardless of seasons, is funner.
  25. The 18z gfs provided a friendly reminder that it needs to be cold for it to snow.
