  1. Probably have a slightly elevated threat in spots where there's localized wind direction enhancement (near the Potomac, the Bay, etc).
  2. TOR watch remains for MoCo and places east. Would seem to indicate the threat is still there for spinnys for now.
  3. Really not sure what to think about later. Looks pretty lame - but with perhaps some rejuvenating sun between rounds, some of those storms could be gusty.
  4. There could be some clearing in the wake of the tornadic activity earlier based on satellite. The stuff to the west and southwest definitely bears watching for now.
  5. Nothing really stands out on radar for the moment. The most "interesting" thing locally is that cell near TADW. Stuff to the west just looks like rain for now. We'll see how the next couple hours plays out. Bogged down with listening to AACoFD feeds right now. They are BUSY.
  6. Surprisingly - SPC keeps the ENH and 10% tor for the same area. Mentions a confluence band potentially providing more severe potential.
  7. Cell near Mount Vernon needs watching.
  8. AA Co Fire is reporting roofs off, poles down etc. High tension lines also down.
  9. AACo dispatch just dispatched something sounding like a building collapse assignment. But then the collapse unit was put in service. Regardless - sounds like significant damage.
  10. Debris from Annapolis storm was lofted to 4700m per Tony Lyza on Twitter. Holy crap.
  11. By our area's standards - that may have been a fairly long track tornado. The couplet is exiting the Annapolis proper area now. Ground truth from there is going to be interesting. Hope everyone is okay.
  12. The Annapolis cell is about as good of a signature as we get around these parts. That's going to go right between Parole and Annapolis...populated area.
  13. Interesting that NWS didn't go with confirmed wording.
  14. Seeing video on Twitter of tornado on that Anne Arundel cell...Couplet is still getting stronger. TBWI looks pretty absurd for this area.
  15. Just a hair SE of Birdsville would be great to have ground truth right now. Woodland Beach and Selby on the Bay is up next.
  16. The couplet on the storm heading for Annapolis looks pretty darn nice right now.
  17. Storm near Bristol, MD needs a warning me-thinks.
  18. Metro area may want to keep one eye on that stuff running from Warrenton arcing down to Fredericksburg - just looks like heavy rain right now - but that could easily go spinny too.
  19. The corridor running from Colonial Beach up to Hughesville in Maryland has been SPINNY today.
  20. Everyyyything wants to spin down along the Potomac in Southern MD. Couple pretty nice looking couplets now.
  21. It's trying! But perhaps it's fighting for dominance with the two cells east of the fall line and that activity up in Loudoun Co. Not too concerned about that little one unless it can grow upscale. That Charles/PG cell looks nice, though. Heavy rain down near Culpeper could be problematic for flooding in spots later if it holds together.
  22. TOR warning for Charles/PG on a tiny cell (not much bigger than the Clifton one). Think things could be interesting here in the next little while. Seems even the small stuff is spinny.
  23. The stuff near Clifton, VA, although tiny - does look interesting. Will be curious to see if that can grow a bit. Almost looks like a baby supercell. Radar is looking messy otherwise - not good for areas that are waterlogged from this morning.
  24. The stuff to watch for DC for the moment is that puny stuff near Manassas. Beefy stuff elsewhere.
  25. It's also worth noting that Philly is under cloud cover right now as well. Ultimately, they will have more time before storms get to them (perhaps more aligned with peak heating) - nonetheless, I'd still be on guard east of a line running from roughly Frederick, MD down to LWX to Fredericksburg.
