  1. Past hour
  2. If it makes you feel better, the 3”-4” of sand here may have compressed the pack enough to give me a net loss of otg snow.
  3. They actually have 37.9" as of 7pm, shattering their previous record of 28.6. Still snowing as you said https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/wx/afos/p.php?pil=RERPVD&e=202602240000
  4. It’s still snowing in Providence!! 33” thus far. Damn New Englanders have too much of the winter fun.
  5. Check back for updates, I don't entirely trust the NYC or EWR numbers, ranks are not likely to change much if at all.
  6. Just curious how people measure snowfall in a storm where the snow was blowing all over.
  7. RAD shows it snowing here, but it isn't...fitting way to end.
  8. Take a stick, Push it into the ground, Mark the height with a sharpie and go in moms sewing kit and use the cloth tape to measure.
  9. You got 4x more than Northampton to Brattleboro corridor! So that’s something.
  10. Well, congrats to those who got the goods. I obviously can't control the storm , but I can control how I react to it. I at least had the courtesy to remove myself from the thread and sleep in to spare you all the incessant bitching that I'm sure you subjected to by Cory. This was a rare shot not only to experience a 3 foot+ event, which I had never done, but with an antecedent pack of over foot. Sucks-
  11. My sister in Easthampton, MA said she only got 6 inches.
  12. 37.9 and -sn. Don't think they'll make it to 40" after all
  13. Do you have a can of Campbell’s soup? That’s about 4” tall.
  14. @Four Seasons 21“ storm total 68.5“ on the season. Location on the New Fairfield/Sherman border all the way in the NW part of New Fairfield near the CT/NY state line. 850‘ ASL
  15. Here in Trumbull, I didn't use a snow board. I would say the greatest depth at any time during the storm was 11"*. So with 6 hour measurements, given the the density of the snow, maybe 15"? 20" is hard to believe, unless the airport was stuck in this morning's band for a couple of hours more than me. EastonWx is a very reliable measurer a couple of miles from me...has he checked in? *I really believe this is how storms should be measured. This is why being at ground zero for the Cleveland Super Bomb was so amazing. The airport at SBN measured 41" on the ground, which included 6" of crud that was already in place.
  16. It just doesnt want to give up. Picked up 3 inches in the last 2 hours or so.
  17. TF Green Airport (Providence) just reported 37.9 and its still snowing, insane!
  18. ...RECORD SNOWSTORM FOR PROVIDENCE RI... THE BLIZZARD OF 2026 BROKE SEVERAL SNOWFALL RECORDS AT RHODE ISLAND T.F. GREEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN PROVIDENCE: - STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 37.9 INCHES BROKE THE RECORD FOR THE GREATEST SINGLE SNOWSTORM ON RECORD, WHICH WAS 28.6 INCHES SET DURING THE BLIZZARD OF `78, ON FEBRUARY 6-7, 1978. - DAILY SNOWFALL OF 35.5 INCHES BROKE THE RECORD ONE-DAY SNOWFALL, WHICH WAS 19.0 INCHES SET DURING THE BLIZZARD OF `96, ON JANUARY 8, 1996. - FINALLY, THE DAILY SNOWFALL OF 35.5 INCHES BROKE THE RECORD SNOWFALL FOR FEBRUARY 23, WHICH WAS JUST 3.8 INCHES IN 1967. A FINAL UPDATE WILL BE SENT JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT.
  19. By a lot, and not just SNE, just any major east coast city. I believe the previous record was Philadelphia at around 31. Unless you're counting cities like Syracuse.
  20. Looking at some obs threads from that storm i literally saw people doing exactly what you said. Sitting and there and praying that a band pivots.
