    Winter 2025-26

It was actually a good read and well thought out. Just sayin.
  3. Can feel the tension building. People just refreshing model runs in anticipation of that run to goon to.
  4. You got events you aren’t recalling. December 2019 and 2020 was decent there.
  5. You were a few miles from one in 17 and then last year. I was less than a mile last year lol. Close enough.
  6. First flakes up in the Catkills today--about an hour's worth of wet snow coming down in various intensities. A period of sleet this afternoon, too. It's a little later than usual.
  7. I am concerned about the look in the Pacific and the fast flow . That’s all . I don’t know who that is
  8. If it doesnt hit next week it really might be the end of the month

That dude just posted a map of basically every possible storm track we could get so he's got his bases covered. Surprised he didn't throw the SER in there as a possibility just to cover the failure mode. ETA - I was looking at his maps and couldn't figure out where Baltimore is, can anybody help?
  10. November 18 is the only event I got snow from. Maybe some slop in 11. 14 years is a long time without a white Christmas here. It’s not debatable. That’s more than ebbs and flows

I got a good feeling for this December. Lube up your snow shovels, gonna need them. I'm even seeing a white Christmas on the table. Of course I'll be up at the cabin for Christmas with the wood stove on blast.
  12. Your rapid posting belies your belief a torch is coming. You look hard for affirmation but alas you only have Forky on your side.

JB2 going snowiest Nina since 95-96?
  14. Absolutely worth it!! I have mine signed by Louis and Kocin when I went to the Northeast Storms Conference back in 2015 and they were there celebrating a big Anniversary of the event. I’ll always keep mine. That thing is weather history and a comprehensive breakdown of all the best storms of the past era. 100% recommend getting and reading
  15. Incredible and I mean incredible tree/vegetation damage from Melissa across a large area in this video. There's only a few TCs in recent memory that have produced damage on this scale.
  16. I don’t recall at exactly what point, but eventually they closed all roads. Unless you were a first responder, it was illegal to drive. Just for $hits & giggles I call my company’s snow line Monday morning (yes, pre-internet days). The message basically said, “The office is open and although the roads are closed, associates are expected to make every effort to come in”. yeah, right…FU! I went back to bed.
  17. Just past peak in the triad, about a week early I think. The really weird thing is that my maple tree and oak trees are dropping about on the same schedule, usually the maple tree is a couple weeks earlier.
