It's hot as balls. I may lose it when we hit mid-upper 90s. I thought older people can handle the heat and fringe at the cold? I'm opposite.... State college radar trending more north, still early. Hopefully it fills in down here.... -
might be some issues further east but I think we should be good

I drove through an insane thunderstorm on Thursday out by Cumberland on my travels to Kentucky. Ended up calling Sterling and reporting flooding (Issued a FFW afterwards) and verifying the warning out. That was the worst storm I’ve driven through since I moved from Texas. Hopefully the area gets some beneficial rain from this storm. We desperately need a gully washer.
-
Should be some decent storms though...won't have to go far today!
-
yeah that's probably about accurate...probably closer to the 5 window than the 7 though. Stuff probably starts firing 3-4 PM
-
80 and muggy
-
ya its always something.. FWIW 13z HRRR has me at 72 at 11am its currently 78
-
Seeing some models not showing much east of the River at least til 5-7pm; is that accurate
-
What are the chances the severe drought area shrinks on next week's map?
-
also wish mlvl lapse rates were steeper but that's the theme for here
-
Monday that should be the case here and into tuesday
-
Seems very likely that the Euro is overdone. It has over an inch of rain for our area this weekend, but we know from the short range models that most of the rain is likely to stay north and west for the weekend. I'll be surprised if our area sees anything today ..... just a slight chance.
-
I love good strong to severe storms. I'm just not into the hail component. We had a hail storm here in Tamaqua a bunch of years back with golf ball sized hail and it did a number on everyone's cars. Some had broken windshields and/or rear windows, but everyone had some good sized dimples.
-
That's quite the rain shield. It would have been nice to have gotten a nice steady soaking over several hours.

It appears there won't be much to talk about for the next week or two. I guess that will make it easy to get my garden planted. -
I’m afraid you may not survive.

Ha I’ve been there. Not far from me.
