  1. Past hour
  2. .6" out of the storm around 4pm, came down real quick
  3. We ended up taking a different route simply because I decided to follow whatever the gps told me to do. Went all interstate through NH to 95 and the Maine Turnpike. Probably not the best route but traffic wasn’t as bad as I feared. Ran into some hellacious storms in NH. Rain hard enough to almost bring traffic to a halt. Impressive lightning around exit 13 on 89 in NH. We got a room in Bangor for the night and drive the rest of the way to PQI tomorrow. The last 2 times I’ve gone up there the clouds have obscured Katahdin from the lookout. Probably strike 3 tomorrow.
  4. Wonder how much the smoke filtering in enhanced the precipitation amounts in western areas. If I remember reading correctly a while ago, apparently smoke is an excellent source of ccn or cloud condensation nuclei so it may be helping to squeeze more precip from these downpours+t-storms today. Either way, the sky looked strange as hell today and those skeeters were all over me once the wind calmed down. Not a good day for a woodland stroll!
  5. Time flies. Doesn't seem that long ago, and just a couple weeks until the solstice- then days get shorter as we head back towards winter.
  6. It feels like this entire weekend will be a big bust for rain for me locally.
  7. What made it unique was the cold that followed, and having snow otg for weeks.
  8. Not sure about top 10, but a great storm for our current times. Probably top 20.
  9. Highs: TEB: 93 ** (seem error) New Brnswck: 89 PHL: 87 EWR: 86 TTN: 86 LGA: 85 BLM: 84 NYC: 84 ACY: 83 ISP: 82 JFK: 81
  10. Around 3:45 some lightning and thunder in Pikesville followed by 15 to 20 minutes of decently heavy rain. Enough to chase everybody off the golf course for 20 to 30 minutes. Then sun came out and beautiful evening.
  11. The GFS, ECMWF, ICON, GEM and UK all had a blizzard In February. It rained. Hope your doctors are as unreliable. I have always enjoyed your posts. Hope to see many more...
  12. If we can muster any breaks of sun in the morning there is some room for some localized strong storms early afternoon. Looks like we'll see a line of rain and embedded thunderstorms moving through so any breaks of sun there could be an embedded strong strong or two.
  13. Today
  14. 1.25” today. Mostly this evening Our daughter’s HS graduation had to be indoors. Stifling. some good bangers
  15. Nothing made it east of central Baltimore County... I heard the rumbles of thunder... and got a few rain drops... Still no AC for me yet. Next Wednesday looks like when I will turn it on.
  16. Same with my dog. Not recommended so I'm don't know what to do since we have cats too. Don't need fleas all over the house.
  17. Took the dog out and within seconds a big lightning bolt struck not too far away and a loud boom, dog ran back in pretty quick.
  18. Got absolutely nothing in Tamaqua, but today was camera day in the truck. I'll show you all in a day or two the downpour I rolled in down in Fogelsville (Allentown).
  19. .38 rain today. I went 6 days without rain, which was a great stretch.
  20. Where are those two dipsticks who keep talking about Stein?
  21. I’m so sorry to hear that. Iirc you mentioned that before. Every single day is a gift.
  22. I think you ended up doing just that. I don't think even a drop of rain fell in Bristol. I don't want bad severe weather with tornadoes, but a small thunderstorm and some rain would have been pleasant. It just all just went around me.
  23. Damn the lantern flies have made it out this way big time. The babies look like ticks
  24. 1.74" between 6-7 at BAF. Daughter's basement a mess.
