  1. Past hour
  2. The Ravens OL is mediocre at best without Ricard, and who knows when he will back. Another one of those vague/mysterious injuries when Harbaugh is asked about his status.
  3. Thru 3 games, the Ravens D is dead last in ypg allowed, 2nd to last in passing yards per game allowed, 3rd to last in rushing ypg allowed, and 2nd to last in ppg allowed. Pretty sure no one expected that thru 3 games even with the front loaded schedule. Im not a ravens fan, so obvs take this fwiw, but I wouldn’t freak out. The schedule eases going into October and the north isn’t going to be great this year with Burrow being out and the Steelers looking pedestrian again. This is still a team that can go far in the playoffs.
  4. Today
  5. It's now rained about all night long. Thankful for it, as leaf and fire season approach.
  6. Picked up some much needed rain. Anywhere from .22 to .30” 65 degrees…’ fishing in my league this morning.
  7. Yeah, Gabrielle is cranking. Should help a little with the low seasonal ACE numbers if it can hold onto major hurricane status for a few days.
  8. 45 this morning in Stockholm. Yesterday’s high was 60. Today’s looks to be 55. We hired a boat for an archipelago tour. Stll not a drop of rain for this trip. I think I am cursed.
  9. Locally significant tornado threat possible over NE OK and NW AR tomorrow, in the vicinity of a modifying outflow boundary from tonight's MCS along the OK/KS border.
  10. I would think warmer water in the Gulf of Alaska and Bering Strait would be a cause of more arctic ice melt, which is more +PDO... but the arctic ice melt has completely gone bare on the Pacific side of the Arctic circle, and the PDO has gone to new record low levels during and after that time, so something may be connecting them.. although maybe not directly
  11. And so it did. For a couple of hours in the early afternoon, weak flow aloft created mostly stationary thunderstorms over the southern FL peninsula. The image as follows is a few hours later, around sunset. Eventually, storms grew over downtown FLL just east of here (opposite direction of pic below) and delivered around 1.5-2" of rain with great lightning.
  12. In theory, a -QBO should destabilize the tropical tropopause and cause a stronger, more robust MJO and on equator forcing/convection. Maybe this erratic behavior with the westward propagations and weak/low amplitude MJO waves is only temporary and will change as we go deeper into spring? Strong -IOD/La Niña playing a role? I’m honestly not sure besides saying to take a wait and see approach
  13. Most models with a good 1 to 2" soaking for Thursday into Friday. Possibly less for LI
  14. Forgot to report back. For what it's worth, while much of the 95 corridor and SE of there from Wilmington to NYC got hammered, our son's wedding location about 5 miles south of Philly escaped with zero rain from 3-5 pm, so we could've had the outdoor ceremony, in hindsight. However, I still think we made the right call moving the ceremony indoors as there was 1/2" of rain and severe t-storms with lightning and very gusty winds and a few downed trees just 3-4 miles east and south of our location between 3-4 pm (we could see the dark skies and hear the thunder) and there could not have been any way to predict that those storms would just miss us - if they had hit our location it would have been a mess and pretty dangerous. We only got some light/moderate showers in the early evening. Plus, it was way more comfortable indoors and the wedding was a smashing success on all fronts, with a beautiful ceremony, some great food and drink, and 2+ hours of awesome dance music. Luckily for us, our son and his now wife are big fans of punk/alt/ska/indie music from the 70s to today (and some great Motown/classic rock/great pop too), so we all got to dance to songs like Temptation by New Order, Last Night by the Strokes, Sound System by Operation Ivy, Let's Stay Together by Al Green, and I'm a Believer by the Monkees to name a few.
  15. Time to promote Pagano to DC. Lucky to have him back on the staff, and he has been successful as a DC and a HC. Hell fire Harbaugh and make Pagano the HC.
  16. Just a tremendous satellite presentation tonight. Awfully impressive considering that Gab had a foot in the grave a few days ago.
  17. I'm more down on the D-coordinator. You can't have that much talent on defense and be so bad.. I'm talking about the secondary. I think it's bad play calling. Last season we started 31st then finished 1st in the last 8 games, so hopefully this year is the same.. but I think we probably need a new defensive coach, they look like they are always lagging behind the offense instead of creating their own momentum
  18. Hill is ineffective for whatever reason, but we have a dopey coach who wont play Mitchell....because Ali is so great at returning kicks
  19. Justice Hill doesn't look as good as he did the past 2 years. Maybe he didn't practice in the offseason or something. Good thing we have Mitchell!
  20. If he isn't I will find something more productive to do lol. Like pull weeds..
  21. Something tells me he will be activated next week. Oh boy...tough times in the flock AND Birdland, lol
  22. Come on dude. Henry has zero quickness- needs a pretty big seam to get going. Mitchell is smaller with bigtime quickness. Perfect for a an interior OL that struggles to open big holes, and can also run outside, and run pass patterns downfield, which Henry cannot do. Henry is a one dimensional bruiser- who now fumbles in critical moments of the game. That alone always puts a player in the Harbaugh doghouse. We shall see.
  23. For all of Harbaugh's flaws...throughout his tenure he has always had this team ready play in primetime at home. They are always juiced up! But before tonight we had a grand total of two losses in 17 years years. But tonight felt different...they didn't have that edge they usually do in these games. If Harbaugh is losing that ability too...then it's definitely time to retire.
