The old saying of: after a thunderstorm in winter within 10 days it will snow, rang true again. -

I just measured around the yard and found an average of 7". I found a 16" drift on the side of my house. The snow intensity picked up, so I cleared my board and laid it on top of the snow. We'll see if any more adds up today. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk -
looks like the zzzzs and smarch classic is back for a while

You don't say?
-
Oh, man.....so sorry to hear. Dude was definitely enthusiastic about weather...he'd go with a 40"-burger somewhere in just about every big nor' easter. RIP.

Those winds were wind last night. Started about 10pm and went till 1am.

I agree about McCain. He would have been perfect for the next rebuild/retool. Only reason I said about trading Maxey was that this team reminds me a lot of the late 2000, early 2010 teams. Had talent but could never get to the next level for years. Then Hinke came in, blew everything up and started over. Which in general sucked as well as they had years of top 5 picks and only Embiid to show for it.

Nope.

Still flurries here. Grass is white -
No the big difference in my EV chart and yours, is the US vs global. The final numbers aren't in yet, but global EV sales grew by roughly 20% last year, held down by slowing sales in the US. The US is a laggard in both EVs and solar with costs higher than the rest of the world due to tariffs and other factors. Expect the global EV ramp to continue in 2026 spurred by the current oil crisis. https://www.instituteforenergyresearch.org/international-issues/ev-sales-grew-20-globally-in-2025/

Phoenix Experiences Warmest February and Winter on Record
donsutherland1 replied to donsutherland1's topic in Climate Change
The unprecedented March heatwave is starting to build in the Phoenix area. As a result, March 2024 will very likely surpass the existing monthly mark by the largest margin on record for Phoenix. -
Yeah that map turned out to verify pretty well…didn’t see what it was spitting out hourly. But the big gusts were all basically at fropa.

8° with moderate snow this morning in Wolf. Just measured 6.75". The wind has died down some so I may get a little more accumulation before it ends. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk -
Funny, I wouldn't trade our forced air system for anything. I can't stand modern baseboard units, and any that actually don't look shit are $$$$$. Grated we did have someone come in and make some adjustments to the system when we purchased... many contractors are HACS and don't have the slightest knowledge how to properly balance a system. Also, having both heat and A/C in the same system is awesome

Have to say winds were very very loud for about 3 hrs. Euro nailed it.

No, I believe East Granby is different from the airport. I remember this coming up a long time ago. I don't exactly remember where, but believe it was near one of the schools. It's also kind of unfortunate that BDL is used for official measurements as it is regularly/generally the lowest accumulation for the area in any given average winter system... many times by many inches

Lost power very briefly earlier, sounded like my roof was going to fly.
-
3.04 in the gauge , winds cranked for an hour at least , no big damage but a ton branches down roads are littered with debris
-
Same here. Also had moderate white rain from Westfield through Granby
-
EWR 62 knots as well
