That's an interesting stat and probably as good an indicator as any of how 'snowy' a winter will be remembered by the average Joe. -

I don't think kicking it in the high gear Is the right way of putting it lol. As you already know a subconscious turning off of the key is more like it. Unfortunately it doesn't matter if it's fake blood on TV or CGI of someone hanging on a cliff that s*** can be completely lights out for me. I had a really bad episode with it my last hospital visit and the doctor's we're about to use the defibrillator on me. I might have to consider a pacemaker for my condition if it gets much worse even though my heart looks to be completely healthy. -
Had some greens on radar moving through so that made it and I think tomorrows stronger one will perform

Hasn't gotten worse for me thank God. What has happened through with the horrible dryness in my house are bloody noses. Let me tell you the fun I had waking up to blood everywhere yesterday morning. That will get you kicked into high gear quickly!! Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk -

i found the first on the internet (probably why it was the same image as yours), but hopefully this new one helps liven your spirits! -
It's closer than any mrx map for here. I got inches before the ice started, and two after. And around 7 from this event and that has the 10 inches at least close to me. According to mrx I had about 3 total inches. They also showed less than .10 ice here and I had almost .4.

A -NAO this time of year from a retrograding Greenland ridge usually doesn't bode well for AN temps for New England(unlike Oct-Dec). Models will adjust.

The key aspect of this winter that has made it satisfying for me was the back to back ~3" events on Sat/Sun the 18th/19th and then the warning snow/ice the following weekend. That was a lot of weekend, daytime snow in a short period... so lots of winter recreation opportunities during falling snow. The Jan 25th event by itself with 7 hours of snow followed by 7 hours of mix would have left me wanting more. We wait for the entire year for just a few hours to enjoy being outside during a snowstorm. So when it doesn't deliver that experience, the disappointment of having to wait another year can be significant.

Yikes. I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that. I'll have to ask my mother, but I never had that test done that I know of or i'm just too young to remember. That said ,If the experience was true too traumatic, I would have passed out anyways. I've had it as long as I can remember and it's triggered by a lot of different types of stimuli, but heights ,blood, looking at sharp objects, brain freezes, and sudden boom's are big ones I have to be extra mindful of if i'm in a working environment. I would fully imagine its probably one of the main reasons I'm always looking for lightning. I love it, but I don't want it to sneak up on me when i'm running equipment. -

@raindancewx has been pretty spot on with his calls this winter. He had the right idea about the late Dec/early Jan warm-up, forecasted a cold Jan for the east, which verified well, and also stated a while back about the cold retrogressing hard to the west at some point later in the winter. Now virtually every model is showing that in the extended with a strong -PNA signal.
