Skipping a frost this year and straight to a freeze. Weird -
The pic is Pit2 looking NE. So, that'll be off the water here. We'll see how that play out. Winds should be pretty calm, but as you can see from the pic, the station is right at the water--albeit elevated. 41.5/19

The question is was it just a few on superstar for social media? No way they think it’s time to go for real. That’s a massive operation that has to have access to long range forecasts. .

After a rainy/drizzly day yesterday, the clouds cleared off at nighttime, and Toledo dropped to 36. The high temperture 54 today was a real shocker. Obviously, it's not that uncommon for a temperature of 54 to be in early October, but we avoided the cold temperatures so far, with the warm weather pattern. My general idea is that the really good colors of fall start to occur after a few days/nights when the temperature is cold, but not (much) below freezing. Colors of the trees can get really uncolorful with a hard freeze. I saw that in Colorado twice in 16 years.

N to NW wind should drop you down good. For me N wind is off Boston harbor. Sound be near 40 here.

Freeze warning is to the north and west. Here it looks like mid 30s tonight, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the vegetable garden will be ok. I think it will be but it's going to be close.

That line pretty much fizzled by the time it reached Philly. Ended up with 0.24" yesterday and 0.20" this morning, for a 0.44" 2-day total. That cold front was slllllooooowwww to move through and it took time for the CAA to ooze in. Got up to 61 at midnight and am currently at my low of 48 with dp a dry 33. -

Trying too hard… dial it back. It’s early, and Forky busts every winter, FYI.
