Went for my first snowmobile ride of the season today. Left from Topsham/Groton and headed up through Peacham to Danville and Walden. Most of the ride was between 1500' and 2000'. We did get up as high as 2300' a couple of times. I didn't stop to measure but I would say the snow depth was between 1' and 3' on average. It was a beautiful day to be out with temps hanging in the low 20s and light snow falling for most of the day. Most here aren't overly familiar with this part of the state, long ago poster Allenson used to call the area the Near Kingdom because its similar to the NEK. Really beautiful area.

I think they were waiting for it to be over. I would expect the plow trucks will be out while you are watching the football games.

A little late but we had a nice sleet/grapple shower about midnight last night up here at our cabin in PF. Our place has a tin roof, so i thought WW3 had started. [emoji1787] .

Cold and dry. Wet and 37 degrees. That has been this winter. Bring on 60 degrees temps and longer days. Get us to an el nino next winter. .

The best chance at 6-8" will be any areas that can get 2-4" from round 1 in the morning then another 2-4"+ at night..

Go back and look at 0z and 6z runs for the Euro and the 3km NAM and try to make a case that one was better than the other lol. They basically flip flopped.. but we are talking an inch of snow +- a couple tenths. It's splitting hairs lol.

Ended with just a trace of snow on the grass. Roads are just wet. Although I imagine they'll get pretty icy tonight.

Yea all I’m chasing at this point is the “chance” to have a decent storm and that requires a gulf tap from a system crossing the southern plains. If the cold air gets shunted east and/or is too transient, so be it.

Looks to me like that big, cold high is notably farther to the northwest compared to 12Z, rather than moving in over-top. So the wave and low are a lot further north.
