  1. Past hour
  2. Low of 30.7 (so far) in Great Falls.
  3. What about “no mow May”? The pollinators are counting on you!
  4. Low of 19° this morning. Hopefully done with any teens again until November.
  5. Impressive cold, as temp was 24 when I left the house. Also, my temp Tuesday morning dropped another two degrees to 39 after I left the house. Great early spring week this week. It’s beyond me how anyone could be amped about near-90 temps in April ha.
  6. Central Park had a low of 30° this morning. Yesterday, Bridgeport, Islip, and Central Park had identical high and low temperatures (56°-32°). The last time that occurred was December 25, 2022 when all three locations had highs and lows of 28°-14°.
  7. It’s time me to talk and discuss all lawn related topics all the time. Grab your Lesco fertilizer and LFG
  8. That leaves us with 1972 and 1982 from the super group. (You already did 1997.) From the strong group, we have 1957, 1965, 1986, 2009, and 2023. 1987 (el nino already in progress, 1986 would be the year to use as I mentioned above) and 1991 (another high end warm neutral like 2015, plus had a major volcano) probably aren't good comparisons.
  9. Someone needs to fire it up. Already mowed 3 times this year and lawn looks spectacular. Before somone comments about chemicals/fertilizer. All I use for fertilizer is purely organics lawn fertilizer from New Hampshire that is made with waste brewery grains. I spot spray weeds with tenacity an all natural weed killer.
  10. 30 degrees. Winds keeping temps uniform. Tonight may freeze again with radiational cooling outside urban areas 31 in NYC
  11. 18 degrees and frost this morning. Looks like the first mow of the season might happen today.
  12. Today
  13. DCA is still in the mid 40s - I would think a freeze is unlikely in the immediate urban areas.
