I just took out the dog and was getting some light sleet.

Exactly yeah, next week is the last full week of March, and I'm not seeing anything crazy warm. Monday through Friday most highs are 40's to low 50's with 20's and 30's at night. I'm not saying we don't end up AN this month but it's not like we wall to wall torched. The crazy departures last week will make the month look worse on paper of course.

I had another great walk this evening with upper 40s, light winds, and dewpoints in the middle 30s.

Flagstaff, AZ's record high for the month of March is 73 They are projected to hit 87 Friday, 14 degrees higher than all time high for the month with 11 days to go! Thursday Sunny, with a high near 86. Friday Sunny, with a high near 87. Saturday Sunny, with a high near 83. Flagstaff has never hit 100F in the Summertime. So their difference between this March's high temp and previous March's all time (since 1899) is greater than the difference between this March's high and their all time highest temp ever recorded. The next 7 straight days there +4> than their previous monthly record (77 or higher every day).

Pleasantly surprised that my natural snow is still surviving, 650' elevation Mahopac. The lake is still pretty covered, but breaking up fast.

My guess is DTW finishes March around +5. Not quite as warm as last year, but I'd still consider that to be a borderline torch.

I didn't get to look at this until I got home from work this evening.Very interesting and well done. Extra interesting for me, because it's within my lifelong stomping grounds.

For western Midwest was warmer than normal, but torch was the Plains and West.

March 28 is interesting.
