And? Its the upscaling that's the issue. I can give two craps about electric since I have solar. More people should do it, but don't and would rather complain.
-
It does look like we are finally at that point with warm/ cold frontal passages . No more of these wound up Rainers until next winter

Is buttermilk supposed to smell bad? I reconstituted a brand new buttermilk powder bag with water and it does not smell good. I have zero experience with buttermilk, this is my first foray into using it.

But with 70 million people.

Spring sucks most years here. We get teases by a week here and there, but most times its crap.
-
And boating. It’s been windy every weekend. Watching kids sports in 35 mph winds is also not fun.
-
It’s definitely time to move away from the later winter/spring storm patterns and into the late spring/summer convection patterns to get our rain. Losing days to rain is getting tiring for everyone at this point.

France is the size of Texas. You'd need to upscale what they do big time. Comes with a price that most aren't willing to accept

not sure why @Damage In Tolland is confused by my post.. click the link and you can get any radar image at anytime from yesterday

I don't know if it's my allergies acting up or phantosmia playing tricks on me, but a couple times today I could smell a faint "smoky" scent, similar (but to a lesser extent) to what we experienced 2 years ago.

It’s mid 60’s, partly to mostly cloudy and a nice breeze here. This is perfect weather for all things outdoors minus water. And water doesn’t really come into the mix until July in our region so if you’re disappointed that’s on you.

wrong.. look up the images from the afternoon and show where you see that https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/maps/radar/

Pool party is like the only activity that this weather sucks for lol A June 1st pool party always had a decent shot at weather not conducive to swimming.
-
There was several hours on radar that was raining in Berks and NW CT and ORH hills into NE CT/ RI and nothing in between mid - late afternoon. After about 4:00 it started raining back into the valleys . Plain as day on radar loop
-
it was doing the same in the valleys all around.. it wasn't upslope..
-
Yes this weather is unusually comfortable for the beginning of June now. Too bad we're smoked out. While social media argues about the +/-Bz and Aurora Sunday night, we can just go to bed early. No chance with the smoke anyway. So, enjoy the mild temps and low RH.

At a pool party and everyone is freezing. It’s 62 and windy in June. Not even full sun. Brutal
-
If you are interested in beach activities sure. But then again swimming would still be freezing even if the air was warm enough to go to the beach. Or maybe you think the breeze is too strong?

We've got some showers moving back in. Wonder if we can get some June flakes up top. 850s are -1C up at 4,500ft. 3,600ft showing 34F on the snowmaking system. BTV going full on snow level discussion for the last time of the season, haha. Upslope showers are lingering along the western slopes but they will gradually diminish during the rest of the night. Snow levels likely range between 3,000 and 4,000 feet, with the lower values over northern New York and the higher values over Vermont. Whiteface at around 3,000 feet is 33 degrees while Mansfield at around 3,000 feet is 37 degrees. Snow levels should drop a bit more as the night goes on. Raw model soundings generally have the freezing levels drop to around 1,000 feet above SLK and 2,500 ft above BTV by morning, but those may be overdoing the cold air slightly. These snow levels will not end up being that significant because profiles continue to dry for the rest of the night so there may not be any precipitation once the coldest air arrives. These snow levels will gradually rise during the day today and they should mostly be above summit levels by evening, and they will stay that way, possibly for the rest of the season.
