  1. Past hour
  2. The GFS showed essentially the same thing for a few straight runs on Fri and then lost it.
  3. What a freaking storm. Even with the sleetfest this afternoon ended up being, it was still very enjoyable. Ended up with 8.6" snow and then 1.5" sleet for a storm total of just over 10" just N of Reading. Stay safe yall! Sent from my SM-S938U using Tapatalk
  4. Still ripping here in Harriman NY, just SE of Kiryas Joel. Staying at a hotel until tomorrow morning. DEEP SNOW! Eyeballing 20 inches OTG. Started snowing at 5 degrees, and stayed there until about 3 PM. Now 9 degrees and 1/4 SM visibility. One of my all time favorite snowstorms.
  5. Ok could be legit. I might have been in a “dry slot” for most of the day. Would have assumed more than 13 inches staying all snow here but never had that real heavy snow burst all day. We always seem to be on the low end. Still amazing to see snow all day at 6 degrees, just wasn’t very exciting to watch here. .
  6. 15.5" here in Southbury....cleared twice, 1 pm - 5.5" 7 pm - 8.5" @ 8:45 had an additional 1.5", still coming down nicely, wind is starting to pick up, 15.4⁰
  7. The lull has hit here in the Poconos, so now was a great time to get outside. It stayed 100% snow the entire time here, with the sleet staying down s.e towards the Lehigh Valley. That im grateful for. The nam even had me riding the line for a few runs yesterday, that was a scare. Overall, a very nice storm. The rates actually werent that impressive up here though. Mainly very small/ fine flakes, moderate snow, with heavier bouts time to time. This event was one of the coldest storms that I can rememember, temps all day ranged from 1 to 4 degrees. I dipped the yard stick, right around 12.0" give or take for this event so far. Albeit, extremely hard to measure with the winds howling up here. Looking over obs, general Pocono accumlations so far looks like 12.0" to 15.0" area wide. I guess we will see if we can tack on some more overnight. Overall snow depth now averaging 15.5" to 16.0" when including previous snow pack. Temp is now a balmy 10 degrees and windy as heck, gust up to 35 to 40mph. Its for sure deep winter out there. Seasonal total to date is now 48.5"
  8. BWI is now one solid storm, or a couple smaller events away from hitting climo for the first time in 10 years!
  9. 2.5” of sleet + 7.1” snow = 9.6” storm total final
  10. Yeah, I’ve heard of several large cracks Thuds. There’s a big outage across the creek.
  11. Snowed in here at the Poconos on a get away with the wife. Here are some photos. Sadly not able to measure.
