  1. Past hour
  2. Judah Cohen or no Judah Cohen. If el nino wishes to terminate the wave train by rebuilding these Ural Blocks like this, the PV will keep taking future shots... Looks entirely possible if not probable and it's been a mainstay feature on ensembles too. What does that ultimately mean for this year? Up for debate. Just noticing, but it's not meaningless.
  3. He might be looking at the Cfs2 for that December comment. It's been coming in for the past week AN, but not by a whole lot. Idk. We'd have to get pretty lucky for December to deliver anything of consequence. Otoh, the exception is 12/82 when BWI was +3.4 and still had a little over 7" thanks to a 1/2" event and a Sunday night surprise of almost 7".
  4. Yesterday
  5. I don’t even pay attention to their winter outlooks. They just put climo Nina or Nino up and use that. They shouldn’t even waste their time if they do no other research. Like we saw the last couple winters there are plenty of other factors that can override ENSO.
  6. Bottomed out at 38 this morning and had a high of 65. Definitely fall weather! Currently 50 with dp 46.
  7. Yeah pretty mid foliage overall. Better than last year, but nothing jaw dropping
  8. Sedona is where we are based. And I’m headed back to Williams on that same train now (the Maria something) Enjoying watching a thunderstorm way off in the distance. Love it. And can’t agree more regarding the climate zones.
  9. JB used to be good at forecasting like 10+ years ago. He’s pretty much a hypecaster and says nonsense nowadays.
  10. small rain/snow shower looks amazing with the sunlight
  11. Noaa Predictions VS. Actual Results
  12. You mean consensus on that OPINION. JB is a hypster and not necessarily associated with disseminating facts.
  13. It was very good 2 weeks ago on some species agreed. But it went to hell in a hand basket in CT over the last week or so other than patches here and there
  14. You always make it out better than it is and that’s ok . There hasn’t been spectacular color this season and the posters here backing that. Enjoy the blinding colors there I guess and wear appropriate eye protection
  15. Interesting. Around here it has actually been stunning. Best in a long time. Fading now but it has been incredible
  16. Euro shows a stretched PV in the long range. We never had a very strong El Nino like this so no one knows what wil happen.
  17. We go through this every year. The foliage on the drive from central CT down to the CT shoreline was just spectacular. Maybe up by the Mass/CT border it wasn’t as good? But that’s not the case here, and on the drive yesterday down to the south in CT, yet again.
  18. Success. Finally a tournament champion. Renegades Diamond of the Dead tournament. Started bracket play at 1015AM and finished up at 730PM
  19. In JB recent WB post reading that Nino is peaking now, earlier than normal. Is there consensus on that fact? He also indicates that December will be cooler than a typical strong Nino year. Hope that is right. Maybe we won't be wearing shorts on Christmas!

  21. Its been awesome here.. but definitely past peak now
  22. We had some here last year.. just flakes and didn't stick really though
  23. Yeah NNe had a banner year . Down here there was good color on maples a few weeks ago but most stuff now no .
  24. Great color here. Yesterday drove down to Old Saybrook…RT 9 was just spectacular. Great year.
  25. Yeah these dry air masses with no vegetation left growing and leaves falling off trees… temps just swing up and down so easily. Lost 20 degrees in just over 90 minutes with the sun going down. 68F at 4:55pm to 48F at 6:35pm.
