  1. Past hour
  2. RGEM has been consistent with it. Euro has a little sign of it too. But yeah, NBD overall. The 3k not being enthused is what gives me doubt about it.
  3. You could have left the 'Dusting of snow' part out and still be correct.
  4. Still snowing but I don't think it will accum much additional. Lucky event down here for this early in the season. I'm building a large retaining wall and I'm pretty beat up from the last 2 days. A snow day is therapeutic for reals lol
  5. By my eye and reports easy 4 to 4.5 inches of snow here in Rocky Mount Virginia. Snow has lightened up but still have mood flakes falling.
  6. You’re probably being sarcastic, but just in case, here’s the criteria for Mt Holly. https://www.weather.gov/phi/WinterWx
  7. need one to dig more and slow down going south of us - these can give us 2-4 or 3-5
  8. Just graduated to steady flurries in Fallston.
  9. 340 was an absolute disaster trying to get to work. Dusting of snow and people can’t drive.
  10. Yes it is! When I did CoCoRaHS this morning at 7 am I had 3.8" on 0.36" liquid, about 10.6 to 1 ratio.
  11. yeah there isn't anything fun about this at all, unless it is actually physically snowing out. The snow on the ground makes the landscape all cool and all but it does nothing to help with 0F temperatures. If its 90 with a HI of 105 in the summer, you can still at least be outside, even if its just sitting in the shade, or in the pool, or pool side. Who really is going outside to "chill" in a lawn chair with a beer at 0f?
  12. The Saturday night clipper has shifted north on several models overnight. The CAMs have shifted significantly north.
  13. If this is what 1.4” looks like, imagine what 7” would look like.
  14. I got to the office early before things started to go downhill on the roads. Guessing the office will be a ghost town this AM...We should have delayed...
  15. A few clippers will be around. Nothing big but more frequent. Hopefully we get something from them.
  16. Maybe a little? But this was modeled to be pretty cold. It had that look of strong CAA early and possibly radiating in the good rad spots before sunrise and it seems that panned out. I’m just glad we got a good pack before it came. We’ve had recent winters that didn’t even get below zero. Hopefully we don’t get too many of these days. I don’t need to be ripping through 2 bags of pellets every day.
  17. Mods could move this where it needs to go, but this read was extremely informative for our region regarding CC. Another analysis indicating New England is fastest warming region, right along side the arctic. It also corroborates the observations we’ve had that this warming is accelerating. https://www.mdpi.com/2225-1154/13/12/246
  18. Looks awesome! I got about 3" here. Very scenic with it sticking to everything. Not a high ratio event. Was a bit too warm when it started.
  19. At PHL, only August was below average, and November was near normal. Goes to show that it's hard to get a widespread below average month in the region. But considering your area has 3 of the last 4 months below normal (and will likely be 4 out of 5), it's only a matter of time before the pendulum swings the other way.
  20. Pic from front porch about 30 minutes ago.
  21. 1.4” in McLean. That definitely was a 1+”/hour band
  22. This weather is the worst. It’s the inverse of 110 heat index. Then the only great place to be is a pool…. Now the only great place to be a is a fireplace. Extremely limiting on daily activities. Even well maintained things, break or fail… If you like this weather you should move to where the cost of living is sooooo much cheaper than New England.
  23. Also kinda curious what it takes to get a WWA, Mount Holly sleeping on this one?
