  1. Past hour
  2. Sure. It's really good medicine.
  3. The GFS was really close to something for the 24th, if NS had phased quicker it'd have turned neg tilt way quicker and probably have been an HECS
  4. February 13 1872: A snowstorm buries Sibley County with 12 foot drifts. Many people perished in the storm. 1866: What may be Minnesota's 'Greatest Blizzard.' It lasted for three days and buried barns in drifts. Luckily, it began at night when many people were at home. 1838: In the days before Tower…at 2:00 am the mercury thermometer at Ft. Snelling freezes at 40 below. The actual temperature is unknown. For Friday, February 13, 2026 1784 - Ice floes blocked the Mississippi River at New Orleans, then passed into the Gulf of Mexico. The only other time this occurred was during the "Great Arctic Outbreak" of 1899. 5. Turn on all your cars and gas powered lawn tools and let em run. Merica
  6. Wedged cold rains when it didn’t snow either. I had 13” SWE by March. It looked like a glacier on Rainier.
  7. it’s the zany 80s all over again. put on some van halen
  8. Central PA will get back to the glory years snowfall wise at some point.
  9. EVERYONE knows it's going to be warmer... but the PNA is the only thing unfavorable. The AO/NAO/WPO are all decent. And late Feb and March the PNA is not as significant as it is earlier in winter. We are trying to find opportunities to sneak a snowstorm in between the warm periods, which is very doable and has happened MANY times before in a -PNA late in the season. We almost did this weekend...if the wave was SLIGHTLY more amplified NW of 95 would be getting some snow Sunday in an otherwise warm period.
  10. You'll say that here, then message the prostate of the warmth-craving main stream on social media.
  11. Accounting for the under measurements Central Park is probably around 25”. So if no more snow, would be slightly below normal. Central PA having yet another awful snow season-Williamsport at 17”. My average is probably around 35” and I have 30.5”. I’d still say it’s likely I make it to normal even if it’s scraping a couple of small events together but it’s a disappointment we couldn’t make any real snow happen since 1/25 and nothing really on the horizon.
  12. Constant barrage of systems that year. Not so much this year. Just cold.
  13. they eeked out the gold because the French judge scored them 8 points higher than Chock and Bates, even with their obvious error. under the old ordinal rules C&B would have won. there are also some really awful issues attached to the personal lives of that French pair, much worse than the cleaned-up for TV commentary tells.
  14. Ha yeah. It’s been all downhill from there. It’s going to take a lot to get back up to the 43” depth I had…there was a ton of water in that pack to support it. Around 20” right now and there’s still room to compact.
  15. We have two opportunities. One as we traverse through phase 3 although may favor northern areas and one as we get back to 8 about the second week of March. Our area is slightly above average snowfall ready however would be disappointing for CPK to be under.
  16. what did you end up getting the other day for snow? A friend of mine lives in marlow and got 10". Alex up in BW got 12", mostly from upslope. Seems like NH in general did much better then ME with the exception of eastern maine
  17. I can relate lol. Nothing like the piles on the side of the road when I moved up here in late March 2008 though.
  18. Yeah they did that here too before the last event…pushed it back like 3ft and then buried my mailbox in cement.
  19. Not seeing it honestly and the seasonal trend suggests we stay on the drier side.
  20. Cash in a few times over the next 15 days without losing pack and the season heads into uncharted territory.
