  1. Past hour
  2. The southern tier of NC continues to do well; a nice long-lasting MCC plowed from well west of Charlotte to Brunswick County.
  3. Pretty big shift east today.. maybe Hawaii has some fun after all
  4. -AO is key for cold down here(minus a -EPO), but in a Nino the Aleutian/NE Pac trough position/strength can mitigate the tendency to deliver colder air southward if the flow of Pac air into Canada is overwhelming.
  5. Anyway, time to start worrying about the Raven's unsteady kicker, and who the hell is going to play the Center position.
  6. That Cowser game saving/walk off robbing catch though!!! To get them to 500!!! The turning point!!! Haven't won since
  7. In Boston by the seaport today and now it’s raining on me. Eff this place.
  8. Yet KFIT was 57 on the low ( +6 ), and 73 on the high (-1 ), for a net diurnal +2.5 (any rounding trickery notwithstanding) The Thornburgh effect - ...we'll see what happens before midnight for the low T but ... heh, see how CC works class ? you're only programmed to think this is below normal
  9. Tomorrow will be another day with somewhat cooler than normal temperatures, as the mercury tops out in the upper 70s. Tuesday will be a bit warmer with the high reaching the lower 80s. By midweek, readings could return to the lower 80s. A few of the warmer spots could top out in the middle 80s. Another push of cooler air could arrive by Friday or Saturday. Overall, the week looks to be dry with little or no rainfall likely through at least Friday. The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was +4.2°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was +2.6°C for the week centered around August 26. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged +3.93°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged +2.50°C. The ongoing strong El Niño, which has reached super El Niño threshold, will continue to strengthen through the summer. The SOI was -21.33 today. The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was +0.838 today.
  10. Today
  11. it is quite cool if bit in the sun. Welcome to Fall y’all
  12. 1991 and 1993 and 2010 for that matter were all much hotter than the others.
  13. Honestly it's not a summer day if it's not 80 or higher. I fully expect every day in the core of summer to at a bare minimum reach 80 degrees. In your Newark list those three summers listed after 2026 were all historically hot summers that broke records for both 90 and 100 degree days. 80 degrees is a very low bar to clear though and can't be considered hot weather. Today I had to wear a jacket summer is clearly over lol. I've always thought we should move Memorial Day weekend to the first week of June and Labor Day weekend to the last week of August.
  14. More background information for you: the Global High Resolution Atmospheric Forecast System runs on high performance supercomputers and utilizes advanced physics models, machine learning and AI Algorithms to ingest data automatically. The Weather Company explicitly relies on human oversight.. A team of over 100 expert meteorologists continuously reviews, validates and refines the model's outputs.
  15. I’ve been getting light rain from thunderstorms during the last ~1/2 hour as it started ~4PM. I just heard pretty loud thunder from one fairly close CTG lightning strike.
  16. 1 run over 27 inning lol.
  17. Dews into the low 40s. PSM 39° Anyone I haven’t messaged back the past few days I’ll try to get to it…getting back on the mend.
  18. They confirmed a tornado in Lincoln Park, like 3 miles N of me. It was a brief EF-0. It was crazy driving through the area because it such a small area but the tree damage stood out like a sore thumb. There were scattered trees down everywhere but the lincoln park tornado the tree massacre was noticeable. This was the 2nd tornado in Lincoln Park this year, the other an EF-1 April 15th. Can never recall one so close.
  19. After you get the 10 day forecast for your town, you can select your current day for detailed hourly forecasts.

  21. Ok.. I was under the impression that it was cooler here and cooler in the Rockies. Was just going on memory. I've seen it make some pretty bad short term forecasts the last 2 Summers though. And it was about 2,000 miles off on where the El Nino would be centered, based in the last few months.
  22. The raw generated data is not publicly available. The easiest way is thru the TWC app for your town or city. It is rapid update hourly and sometimes is off the wall but it nailed the details Friday and Saturday.
