Color made a good backdrop for the leucistic hawk today. She (guessing since I read that  females are larger than the males) caught two meals this morning in the waist-high scrub, so her lack of camouflage doesn't seem to be a problem, looks healthy.

1.47” . May end up 1.75” + based on radar . Still at 48.7 Haven’t needed to use heat at all with the mild fall . We’ll see if the chill moderates on models this week for next weekend. As of now, it looks chilly with big CAA wind damage potential
