Congratulations!!    I got a grand total of .02" for Thursday, August 6.................  .30" total for the first 6 days of August.

Where's the rain???   At Charlottesville.   Over 4 inches for the first 6 days of August.

Awful.  I looked at CoCoRaHS for Aug 1-6 and almost all of Albemarle Co. is 3-5 inches while Augusta is half an inch or less.  Hope your luck changes

Not sure why they took Waynesboro Eastern Augusta off the extreme drought...

Current situation up near CHO airport..  intense rains again.... large bolt just slammed something near or the runway itself - bolt seemed to freeze in air....

Montiviola about 10 miles southwest of Crozet reports 1.19" since noon. The east of the Blue Ridge daily monsoon continues while west of the B.R. a very serious drought situation gets worse by the day.

Yeah this is wild - absolutely nothing again today

This almost has to be the driest area in the mid Atlantic since the 3rd week of June. From here up past the old East Side race track is barely hitting 2 inches in 6 weeks( Im not sure exactly where you are located ) It is what it is... Im glad Tstorm/ convective season is slowly coming to an end now as we hopefully trend toward more synoptic precip in the next several months ...

My weather station nearby in Faber, VA is at 13 inches since July 1st. Have had measurable rain every day of August so far.

Yeah it's crazy - I work out of Charlottesville - almost every day it's driving around at some point in some area in a tropical downpour... It's not like it's the entire valley - north toward Harrisonburg, west toward Staunton and south toward Stuarts Draft and obviously east is doing well... It's just one small area that simply refuses to produce convective rainfall right now ....

Thanks Bro!    I'll report this in my Newsletter.   I've had 3.07 since July 1.     Last year I had 7. 17" in July.
