The old Wake County Fizzle kicked in.

It fizzled in Durham county before it got to Wake County.  Most impressive part of the storms tonight at work was the outflow boundary gusts were impressive. other than that, NEXT

The wind with that line of storms was white impressive last night even though here in south Greensboro it wasn't nearly as bad as north Greensboro. What was really usual was how long the wind was sustained, 10-15 minutes of winds gusting to 40-50 mph

That sucks. I was worried yall would miss out. Your time is coming, maybe one day?

That was just enough of a shower to stabilize the atmosphere. Now when the line behind this one gets here....POOF!

Well that was nice this afternoon between 1-4pm. Rained pretty good here and I came home to see 1.07" in the bucket today. Of course my old home which never saw rain either got over an inch and a half.

Ill take this though. The heat continues after tomorrow. Low tonight maybe 60*? That would be nice

I was at might dad's house burying my dead cat.  Thunderstorms were coming and we needed a move on.  I put him in his favorite blanket and we got a move on.  Cat was in and out just before the storms hit.  He was a great cat.

We've now had a tad over 3 inches of rain over the last seven days.  We're in the Falls watershed near Laurel Creek (a couple of miles SW of the NC50/NC98 intersection) so we drain into Falls Lake.

Hopefully a trend ...
