This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Pennsylvania.

There is a chance for showers and storms later this afternoon
into early Sunday that could result in ponding of water on roads
and localized flooding. Strong winds will also be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

There is chance for strong to severe storms Sunday afternoon
into the evening hours.

Survey Summary:
At 7:19 p.m. local time September 9, 2026 an EF-1 tornado with
maximum wind speeds of 105mph touched down between Bradford
Airport and Bingham Road with a maximum width of about 200 yards.
It traveled east/northeast and damaged some trees around and west
of Bingham Road. The tornado continued through the area of woods
east of Bingham Road before doing its most intense damage along
and north of Sprester Road. It uprooted and snapped many trees
before flipping a trailer on its side. The tornado turned
northeast and continued damaging trees into the woods before
dissipating as it approached the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad
line around 7:22 p.m. local time.

We would like to thank McKean County Emergency Management and
members of the community who provided firsthand accounts, footage,
and pictures of damage.

I apologize that this has already been covered, but If the limited research I did is correct there's only been one minor injury in Pa.  That injury was sustained in York county from a blown out window. So at least that's good news.

Doubt we get storms but we should hopefully get nice rain! Maybe a thunder or two.

Its bacterial and fungal infections that are starting to defoliate some species of trees and plants early.

Spotted lanternflies are also playing a role in that too. My parents have a few trees in their front yards that these things love to swarm and feed on and its insane how much dew they deposit that ends up turning into mold and other tree infections if you don't take care of it right away. It really weakens the health of these trees to the point they'll die in a couple years eventually if there's no action taken.

Yeah the storms are disappearing as they get to central PA as is usual for the entire year. I just expect that now with any storm system I see lol

I actually believe they'er probably having a cascading effect myself. These are some video stills from a walk back from my fishing hole a little over two weeks ago. It's not just a few trees along the enola load grade trail, there's thousands of trees covered in lantern flies, honeydew and soothy mold like this.

 there has to be a sacrifice made. You can't expect to get to get a decent, meaningful rainfall, and the Longhorns winning on the same night. It's either or.

.30 rain overnight, was expecting more. I guess the college football upsets contributed to the lower precipitation totals.

It's really difficult to post when someone (who used to be the most popular poster in this thread) continues to take passive aggressive cheap shots directed at me in other threads on the forum. All over the Day In The Life post 1.5 years ago. I apologized multiple times but to no avail. I never ever intended to hurt someone to the point that they would act like this.

Those day in the life posts were epic! Anyone who would have gotten offended by them was missing the point. They were satirical in nature, and meant to be taken as good natured fun. At least that's how I saw them.
