Have hear 2 loud thunderbooms from the cells that are moving east of me.  There is some mPing report of >1" hail.:o

The dews crept into the low 70s but with the convection to my east, they dropped a few degrees.

Hit up to 89 after a 67 low snd before the popcorn started.  Currently 81 with dp 68.

There’s been near constant thunder here for over 3 hours. Our only break was an hour ago when the first storm left and the second one hadn’t formed yet.

I had 0.90 in my backyard from the two cells today. I was not in the absolute jackpot for the region, but definitely did better than most.

finally, we received a share of the golden rain events today. Nealry an inch in brief but training heavy PWAT t- storms. Could surely use more of it tomorrow. It was a million dollar rain for the ag business in western Lehigh and eastern Berks County today.  Much more is needed tomorrow but its a start.

Had an odd, but interesting storm here.  It blew up along a gust front, expanding from SE to NW.  It was dumping rain only about 2 miles away.  It wasn't actually raining here, but misting from the wind blown rains coming from the main rain shaft.  Eventually, it did dump rain here, but the progression was pretty cool to watch from the air.   You can see the mist being blown in from the drone time lapse footage.

Despite our hot start to July we have turned much cooler over the last 10 days, which has brought us all the way back to average temperatures so far for the month of July. Today looks to be the most impactful day with flash flood threats although as many of you know much of Northern Chesco has not seen as much beneficial rains as the rest of the area. Shower chances will continue but not a wash out by any means through Thursday. We finally dry out on Friday with sun returning both Friday and Saturday.
