It's like symbolically ( perhaps even philosophically ...) this event is a warm front passage.

Look at these FOUS sounding numbers at Logan for Wednesday afternoon

36016989370 05106 251211 43000300
42059989570 05307 182808 45010300
48004903707 -4908 223211 39000200
54000861937 -3712 252705 44040401
60000811632 -0113 262213 46060501

Prior to dawn on Wednesday, that's like snowing where I am, freezing rain/IP in a band between Rt 2/Pike, and cold rain, all yielding to explosive temperature rises immediately after the sun comes up.  Those thermal profiles nearing 0z Thursday suggests it was over 60F early in that afternoon over thoroughfares and parking lots.  Probably not over snow packed fields .. buuut, there'll be residual moisture being baked by March sun at higher mixing temperature - that's going to have DPs probably in the 40s with Ts say 57.   Likely the greatest melt day yet in this slowly unfurling spring.

Curious about school decisions in CT. Looks like bad timing yet again as we don’t completely transition to rain until evening

I'm betting on lots of cancellations after the chaos of last Wednesday...  Already getting inquires that suggest there is little stomach to try to challenge the timing; especially for interior CT...

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Last event was a debacle so I’m curious if they hedge for the safe bet and cancel more willingly.

Oh yes, they will!  Last Wednesday chaos was avoidable; the option to delay and reassess was there and quite a few districts went that route... it was the ones that challenged the onset snow with a regular start that led to all the issues...

depends where you are-mostly rain along the shoreline and it doesn't even start til 9 or 10am so even if a period of snow-students will be in already and just rain by the time they leave

It's been a really decent winter, but I agree.. I'm pretty much done. Too many unfinished outdoor projects to complete, and the RAM needs a massive detail

I think 90% of the people here are done-it was a great winter but time to move out and get back outside living again.

Yeah there are still mental gymnastics going on

Oh for sure…And as soon as the mid month time frame rolls around, if there’s a siggy event being signaled, he’s all in.

I love how people like to talk like they have any say, or any choice in the matter…You’ll get and take whatever is dished out…Like it, or not.  Thank you sir, may I have another.
