Pretty wild, I didn't see this coming but it could also be a windshield wiper effect with such a drastic shift so I can see it correcting back east a bit at 0z but, who knows, this whole thing has been really unpredictable. The EPS had been pretty steady up until this cycle so this is a pretty big surprise.

We’ll see what ends up happening in the end but DT’s post about the NWS soundings a few days back could have something to do with it because we’ve seen issues all winter

This is not model noise. You have GFS refusing to back down with a snowy solution and now almost every model is trending to it. Its not even friday night yet to really nail the track and amounts

I was hoping the 18Z Euro and its AI brother would "cave" to the GFS, but didn't really think they would... at least not yet. Having said that... we are still 3 days away. Need to see more model support and run to run consistency...

I don’t wanna rain on anyone’s parade. And I’m hoping that this thing keeps trending west, but remember two weeks ago we were hoping for a blizzard and the only place who made out was Montauk. We had some hits on the models only to have the rug pulled out from us later in the evening.

Not caught up in the thread but wow 18z Euro has a shift west + a healthier northwestern precip shield. I had just told my wife to write this thing off, not about to believe the GFS on an island again. 

Positive development if this repeats next run. Euro has been locked in on nothing.
