Seeing more steady light snow here too.

A half inch here with lt Snow. Had a period of moderate Snow about an hour ago.

Snow rates are on the high end of moderate and it's beautiful out there. 30 minutes ago flakes shifted from several small flakes to feathery clumps. Roads have yielded and accumulation on all surfaces has started. I'll probably make another measurement soon.

Flake size here has went from about the diameter of a pencil eraser, to about the size of dimes and nickels now. Temp is now down to 27.

Starting to fully saturate here now. Should be a steady light snow soon.

Wow ! Had some Dimes for a little while earlier but, about pea size now but coming down moderately. Man, you are in a snow prone area. Cams in Norton and Wise showing larger flakes there as well.

It’s interesting that it’s coming down pretty good in Halls, but there’s nothing on radar.

A couple of thoughts about the most recent 3km NAM:

 

I don't think the NAM is seeing the Bays mt band we've seen in the past from NW flow, but that is an interesting enhancement streak in accums. with regard to the Bays Mt. band's typical location.

Cranking heavy snow here just south of Bristol. Big fatties. Ground is white. Starting to cover driveway and road.

There is about 3/4 inch on grassy and elevated surfaces imby, but until a few minutes ago nothing on concrete.  Now the flake size has increased and it's sticking everywhere.  Temp 28 dp 22.

One bad aspect of the initial melting the first few hours this afternoon is that all that wetness is going to freeze solid under the snow tonight. Should be pretty slick for driving upon later even with the more powdery stuff to come on top of it.

Snowing at my house in Seymour. Still nothing at my work

Got to my home in north JC.  Snowed moderately to heavy all the way from South JC to the Boones Creek exit.  Some snow in the median and shoulders on the bridges.

Have between a half inch and inch and snowing light to moderately at times.

When I left work in the south side of Bays Mountain it was pouring some big flakes. Over in VA the flakes are still really tiny and not much accumulation.

I have the opposite problem.  I have good returns but nothing falling.

I got in that as well.  Some monster rates and looked really bad down from it on i 81 (should read Bays mtn)

Nothing in northern loudon county. I’m about 3 miles from Farragut line. Hopefully it gets here! Schools are already closed for Monday!
