My one regret this winter is not having a better December into MLK weekend. I know it was better at a rest stop off I-84 in CT, but felt like we left some on the table.

At least this time you only missed the white Xmas by like 15 miles instead of 15 blocks

Yea I mean our climo is snow cover from Thanksgiving on with snow events every 3 days.  Zero melting no cutters.  Show me 1 just 1. 2003?

Your words, no one elses.

My climo is not 8.75" of snowfall through mid January. I'm not sure why you always feel the need to advocate for winter as though it's a legal client. Jesus...

Regret is probably not the best wording. Sort of takes away from the winter you could say. Again just talking that period.

mmm... I don't see a problem with not being impressed with this winter - but I suspect in some minds ... a lot of minds perhaps, there's still some failure to adopt and model their thinking and expectations with respect to the present state of the Global climate.  If they did, it would do two things for their perceptions.

1, remark about what it actually must be in order to get the temperatures/causal cold loading to be what it has been.  Suggests an impressive offset when considering, it is far in a way more likely that any given month will look like this below, than the other way around...

2, relative to that ... they would see that with the rarer opportunity to sustain such a cooler winter profile being realized, it thus kinda sorta feels like a failure to "make hay when the sun shines"    ... or not... this aspect is probably more debatable.  But we've had snowier winters at less negative departures.   Start with that, and then it does seem like "wasting cold" so to speak.

Exactly. Very reasonable take.

Obviously you can't understand sarcasm.  You average because of high snow periods and low is my point. Have no idea how I am advocating?

I'd give this winter a C+/B- so far...it's not awful. It's just left a lot more on the table than the very good seasons.

I think the same for where I am.  Up the road at PF's its much better. But here it has been decent but dry.

My point is the period that Scott referenced was in fact low, that was all he said. Losing that period sucked bc not only was it low solar and the holidays, it was so cold

Bingo. Not sure why this is hard to grasp for some.

Agreed. Wasted cold. Still hoping to reach "normal snowfall"

It’s really pretty astounding that it’s been below freezing for so many weeks straight What a winter for pack fetish folks like me. Even before the big un , most of the time other than early Jan mild up and a little of Dec had snow OTG. This last storm even though it wasn’t paste had so much qpf that it doesn’t melt even in full sun . If the mid week storm can be paste or even get some ice into it, we will be locked in well into Morch this year
