The 14th we plan to leave….unless there’s a monster storm here that morning. There was a signal for one, but it’s still clown range. So assuming that is a nothing burger, then we leave Saturday the 14th.  It was gorgeous when I was there 10 days ago…couldn’t be any better. Sounds like that’s how it is for you :snowing:

I’m heading up the 16th. I don’t know if I’ll actually ride in Maine. I’ve got 3 days already planned in New Brunswick, Tuesday through Thursday that week. I’m not sure about buying a pass for one day in Maine. But I will spend a day visiting my friends in Presque Isle.

Sounds like fun Mark. Maine offers a 3 day deal(don’t have to get a full year registration).

Our plan is to ride from our cabin in Cross lake/Sinclair area on Sunday the 15th, and up to River D Loupe in Quebec, and then on to do the Gaspe’ peninsula the following 3-4 days.  And then back down through NB ,and back to our cabin in N. Maine.  So we’ll see if that works out.

Nice. The Gaspe is a bucket list trip.

Looked at euro AI, WPC before I looked here.  prospects have worsened I think.

AI never liked that timeframe but it’s also clown range. That’s why I mentioned a range of solutions.

Some still like something smaller for the 11-12th too.

Well glad there are some possibilities, but we are slowly and steadily moving to the time of year when I prefer big storms to smaller pack builders. But we’ll see. in the end It doesn’t really matter compared to everything else in my life that has my attention, and of course we have no control over it anyhow

GFS still has it and a solid event at that

GFS has one decent warning even next Thursday night NOP, followed by a slightly larger region-wide deal over the weekend. Still willing to take the under on that period as a whole....06z GFS is probably a reasonable ceiling.

Looks like SSTs are around 35-36 BEFORE this weekend....man, please get a juicy hugger in here to lather me up with deep layer east fetch.

Boston harbor 39. But that’s out there and I think 5’ down or so. Definitely less of an issue vs December.
