It's cold coast to coast except a small part of the southeast (mainly Florida).  I don't recall seeing that.

The ratios are definitely helping amounts go up more quickly. Hrrr didn't have us hit 3" until 11am and many have reached that already sw of the city

Bingo. A lot of people disregarded the initial ratios. Im snowing at 9 degrees. 3 to 4 inches out here already and snowing hard. When the thumping precip gets here,ohhhh babyy!!.

3" in South Brooklyn - rates 1-2"+/hr. Don't see how this doesn't end up in the double digits.

Hopefully that sleet line hits the kind of traffic I run into every time I go from DC to LI.  Let it sit on the Belt for 2 hours too before it makes its way out to me.

Looks like a reload of heavier precip coming, city looks in a lighter reflectivity for the moment but it should pick up. 

About to make the drive into Seaside to care for elderly parents, should be interesting. Curious how much the barrier island is getting, so I’ll report from there.

FWIW the 3k NAM has sleet to Staten Island by about 2pm over to I-80 in NJ and to the Tappan Zee/my backyard/West Milford by 3pm. It's quite wet, 1.5" liquid or more for most.
