My high school was like a college campus requiring you to walk outside building to building between each class. Jan 94 was a fun one for that.

My 5th grade teacher made me leave class ("Get OUT!") for cutting up, on a 15F Jan day.  She meant, "out" as in "outside", where she could see me... no trip to the locker to grab the jacket, either... I stood out there the whole period.  She'd be keel-hauled these days, but back then it was just a 'lesson learned' - by me.  Model student in her class after that lol

Yeah she’s doing 3-5 at a minimum security prison if she did that today

Lots of people caught with their pants down with empty oil tanks and a surge in heating oil spot prices around here. Jumped like a dollar or more in the last week around New Haven. Hearing there is huge waits for deliveries.

Up at SLK we have oil for the first time. That first delivery hurt like hell. Since then we’ve been limiting the oil use and letting the propane fireplace heat the house. Seems to be working so far.

I used to get locked in the supply closet for being a wise ass (I know hard to believe).  They tried the nurse's office first but then discovered I was quite comfortable napping on the examining table.

Just filled my tank 2 weeks ago.  I have wood and pellet options in my house.  Looks like I filled the tank at the right time.   Emptying an oil tank is not good. Need to change the filter and have someone bleed the line to the boiler/furnace.

that sucks, I used to lock in a price early, and had delivery once a month even if to top off, worst was digging out a path to the street in late jan 2011, it was over 6' by the time I got to the street, you can see layers of the storms avg depth was about 37/40"... took me all day, but I had oil, he wouldn't deliver otherwise.
