So beautiful!

Looks like were in a dry slot near chatt, still having some fine sleet/freezing rain under 0 returns. Temps slowly climbing to 27 in the last two hours, switching from out of the north to predominantly out of the east in the same time-frame

Noticing the southern plateau is slightly warmer now as compared to valley/mid tn lower elevations.

I agree..there’s not the continuity of precip that we saw on the models.  That gap in precip back in Arkansas is massive.

I think with the early morning snow in Chattanooga and south we all got the Ideal that things were going to be early, and I guess that was true, but the main moisture was supposed to hold off until around 4 to 5pm.  I think that is what is going to happen because even when I get what looks like good returns over me, it is just light snow. Of course as soon as I say that II am having my biggest dimes and Quarters right now. I even  got a little white ground with that last round.

Yeah, was super dry air this AM in Knox. Had some flurries this morning with humidity around 40% and a dewpoint in the low teens.

Gor up to 33.4 a couple of hours ago. Doen to 30.4 now with light snow. Starting to coat everything now. Humidity only now at 70% with a dewpoint of 21.

Just now starting to throw some flurries out here. Too bad for all the ZR/rain tonight and tomorrow, makes me sad this time of year. Maybe in the next week or two we can cash in. Great pics everyone!

I can't imagine the totals if all that moisture was just snow.

Gonna be interesting to see which high res mod is closest to what happens. This is the NAM 3K and the VF3, I picked those because they are the closest to my air temperature right now. I threw the HRRR out because it has me with rain and 33 degrees right now. I’m at 27.7 with mod snow. The main reason why I’m curious with these two high res mods is because both of them are pretty close with total precipitation, however the FV3 has me with a little over 3 inches of snow, no sleet and just a little freezing rain by Monday morning. The 3K gives me less than a half inch of snow, half of an inch of sleet and over 1 inch of total QPF of freezing rain. Here’s some screenshots.

My children’s school canceled school Monday and Tuesday about an hour ago.

Up a couple degrees from the 14 to 16°, 71% humidity, dew point 6°. Moderately heavy fine snow little flakes but you can see much darker returns headed headed this way.

Son and husband hoping for snowball snow.

exit to add: we are in Clarksville.

The forecast on Tuesday for today and tomorrow had around 14-22 of snow inches total. I should have screenshot it. Probably won't see that again for awhile lol. I knew that total was too good to be true. That's the game we play in this part of the world.

Yeah, several days ago the models showed this winding down about now,not get going,.The slower solution allowed the LP to cut up because we lost the ULL to the NE and allowed HP to build in the east

I know this has nothing to do with the weather, but maybe the weather is part of the problem… there’s reports of an airplane trying to land at TYS with unknown issues

Burning fuel before landing doesn’t sound weather related, and doesn’t sound good to me.
