Watching as the piece of NC that isn't included in the "most of NC" phrase so commonly used. One of the few hoping for a little southern shift to avoid mixing/icing issues! Going to be a fun week though.

Almost always lurking because I do not have too much to add and no expertise in this area.

This could be a storm that reminds me of a good ole New England NorEaster and I am hoping for that.  We have managed to dodge most of the big ice totals since I moved here 20 years ago, and I am hoping for one more year of that.

For the newbies.. I wouldn’t overly invest too much faith or hope into the Icon. Icon isn’t even used by NWS offices to make an informative decision based off its physics etc. Def a model to check trends and have some entertainment in between the main show but in all reality it is pretty worthless.

At this range I really do hate being close to the bullseye just seeing how many times it’s burned us in the past. Even with that said though I would expect seeing some runs that will have major changes. Don’t let your emotions ride on one days runs. Trends will go both directions at this point.
