Looks kind of warm Saturday afternoon outside the elevated spots. Not sure anything that falls in the second wave after 18z is going to amount to much outside those zones.

I think interior N and W of 495 will be mostly snow as 925 temps never get warmer than about -2C....hard to rain like that if you have anything steady falling....if it's really light it could be white rain or even plain rain maybe. 

Mesos are significantly colder in the BL so those would be snow even close to BOS.

It is pretty cold at 925. No doubt it’ll be mostly snow N and W of 495 but I wonder if it’ll just be slushy crap outside the elevations especially during the afternoon. Boundary layer looks kinda warm after 18z. I’m not super enthused here. Best rates definitely west too.

Depends on QPF imho. If 18z euro solution happens, you’re getting 2-3” of paste. But if it’s just light crap that’s around 0.10” over 5-6 hours, then it’s slushy C-1” crap.

Decent slug of moisture on HRRR but it’s quite mild. Almost like you want this to come in earlier vs aftn. Higher el still would flip I think.

GFS was pretty robust for western CT. 

This kind of has some higher end potential as we close in. For now at least.

Looks like snow starts in CT prior to day break then a lull before the heavier stuff moves in here late morning into afternoon

Saturday fading fast.. However, we might save Sunday, we'll gladly sacrifice Saturday to get a regionwide event Sunday.. 

Litchfield county and points NW favored for 2"+ from this.. Looking like a coating to an inch for most others or white rain..

Def shifting more toward Berkshires NW CT and S VT/Sw NH. As that trough sharpens, it will cause Saturday to go NW but it alsO brings Sunday west.

The accumulating snow band has trended NW on everything, one more tick and we just see a coating of snow, but it's shifting everything west which may bring sunday up the coast, so we take that
