CPcantmeasuresnow
8.4 inches, 52.4 now for the season, 69 days of snow cover, and three months in a row below average temps. This Winter is trying it's best to get an A. It's getting close.
NorthShoreWx
2 hours ago, CPcantmeasuresnow said: As for measuring since this storm will include two calendar days. My protocol, and I believe it's the current guidelines, is take a final measurement at midnight. Log it, clear the board, and then take another measurement on the board tomorrow when the storms over. If there is 6 inches tonight, board is cleared and 9 inches tomorrow, the storm total should be recorded as 15. Even if for arguments sake the new snow depth is 13 inches when the storm ends tomorrow. Does everyone agree with that? That's exactly what I am doing.

wishcast_hater
Doesn’t look like I will make the 12-18” up here. Just eyeballing from my window, maybe 6”. Full on whiteout conditions though. .
gravitylover
Well over a foot, probably more like 15+ but the wind has it moved all around. I went to let the dog out but the drift against the back door is 3 feet high and about 15 feet thick. That's gonna take a while to move Plow pile is up to the mailbox and reaches at least 10' into the driveway. That's REALLY gonna suck to move. On the upside, visibility is up to about 300 feet.

It’s pretty much what I figured was gonna happen. Major cutoff in totals on this side. Prob won’t reach warning criteria here.

Radar echoes looked terrible there most of the night. Hate when that happens.

I’m good with my 5.5” here, similar to 2006 for me.

Something like 2.5" here Man those mesos started correcting east right around 22z & by 0z last night I knew it was a wrap. That band that parked over the Hudson curling into CT was initially progged to be 20-30 miles W. Oh well it happens on to the next one!

That corridor from tuxedo up through harriman and monroe and northeast is always a weenie spot too. That little extra lift always squeezes out a few more inches of snow its incredible. 1

The typical slight shift east at storm time got us, a reason I keep wanting everything to continue pushing west in the models leading up to game time. 1 minute ago, BxEngine said: up until about 1 am i really thought that band would be over you guys. My folks live in Highland Mills and ive seen them weenie themselves an additional couple inches from sitting on the SE facing slope of Schunemunk Mtn
NepaJames8602
Well that was a let down here in the Poconos lol. Binghamton NWS had me under a blizzard warning for 7 to 16" inches, and 45mph winds. Winds were pathetic here above 2k, and maybe 5.0" total lol. Very light snow continues but its a wrap. I can't complain though, im right right around 60.0" ytd so it has been a good season.
