I'm just glad it is over and we at least got enough for the kids to play in.  (and it will still be there tomorrow) 
Disappointed we didn't get more, but at least it was 2-3 inches and not 0.  Watching the radar all day was painful!

What is so weird about that is SE wake literally got the less amount of snow than anywhere in the state. Now this weak clown map (right over se WAKE) lol...love it!

You know...yes it has sucked in fuquay varina...look at my screen name...but there was jan 2000.....24 inches.........

That is the kind of storm that just created a thousand winter weather hobbyists like all of us. Those kids are now obsessed.

I get it bro...but wake co sucks. Especially south...when I lived in wilson it was Jackpot for 13 years...100% facts...oh and wilson just got 8 to 10 inches again

Can anyone do an over lay of weather next forecast compared to actual. To my untrained eye it appears to have done pretty well less the dry slot or maximas.

I got 7 in North Wilson (with maybe a few favored spots at 8) and it was an enormous relief, but I have to admit to being emotionally drained at this point.  Together with the storm last weekend it's been 2 straight weeks of relentless oscillations between clown maps and rug pulls.  Obsessive model watching; clicking refresh on my browser at 12 in the morning to see if anyone has posted in the last 15 seconds on this forum.  Being a snow weenie in the SE is hard on the soul.

Brief warm up then trough comes back towards V day with decent setup via some blocking and possibly a 50/50.  MJO looks like it may be in phase 6 during that time as well and was outside the circle per Euro forecast that I saw.  Models may catch on if things synoptic outlook remains favorable.

Literally dude. I took my happy ass into the car and drove to Mebane just to see/drive in some snow before it finally hit Raleigh. The central NC dry slot was so brutal. Even a day later, even though Burlington/Mebane started far earlier, it looks like they only got an extra ~1 to 1.5" out of it. Crazy.

I’m one of those people! I’ve lurked on here back and forth the last 5 or so years. Have really gone all-in on the snow chasing since we were on the brink of breaking history without it. Add having kids to the mix and now it’s all the more reason to love the chase. 
 

But missing out on the massive totals was a huge blow between the legs. Luckily my kids don’t know any better and seeing everyone having fun makes those years without snow seem further away
