DreamBig
Can't speak for elsewhere, but in Brooklyn? I'm not going shopping over the weekend and losing my parking spot if I could go shopping this morning. Everyone's going to be plowed in and in no hurry to move. Looks like south of NYC is the cutoff zone. This thing wraps up pretty quickly too, should be finished by 4 AM. what are you talking about ? you know something actual professionals don't ?

I tend to make several trips a week and buy as much fresh as I can so I dont have to waste anything. I hate throwing food away Anyway back to the storm

MANDA
47 minutes ago, Brian5671 said: I've never understood it-how long are you snowed in at your house? Maybe half a day tops? Very few times I saw grocery store / supply chain issues. The BIG ones. Blizzard of 96 stands out as it covered large area from DC to New England and trucks were stopped and roads were clogged for 1-2 days after the storm. March 93, same thing. Sandy was another. These "little" storms are an and inconvenience for a few hours. We have enough leftovers in the house right now to last a week. I wouldn't go near a grocery store today if I was down to my last can of soup. Really takes a massive storm to disrupt an area these days. The larger of an area it affects the more likely it is to be disruptive to supply chain. We don't live on the plains of Kansas in 1930...we will make it for a day without being able to get to a grocery store. Just nuts all the panic and mad rush.
Jt17
what a roller coaster here... i thought you were on board for something bigger when i read your earlier takes....When it gets to game time he lowers his expectations so if what is forecasted doesn't verify he isn't hurt. But going back to 4-8 still seems right based on all guidance for NYC which is what the Upton Winter storm warning had before bumping to 5-9 overnight. .
